Comparisons to Goldberg (which I often see) are crazy. Goldberg was much more athletic and his moves had way more power and explosiveness behind them. They aren't even close to being the same guy. Goldberg was a beast; UW was more of a cartoon character. I don't mean to bash the guy, but I just don't think there was much substance there. Jeff Hardy couldn’t talk on the mic (and he didn’t look like a typical wrestler that popped roids like kids with skittles). But he pushed merchandise and people loved him. Goldberg couldn’t wrestle. Roman did not work as a babyface. CM Punk and Bryan Danielson being World Heavyweight Champions in WWE was unimaginable if you were around for Stone Cold and The Rock passing the title back and forth. So Warrior couldn’t wrestle, but he is still a WWE Hall of Famer.

Warrior might have been a pain in the ass and had a million flaws but he is one of if not thee most remembered wrestlers of all time His physique. His crazed behavior. His strength. His makeup I can't think of another wrestler that got over as much as the Warrior

We may not like warriors social and political views( I’m one who does not care for him) but he was one of the most over characters in the history of wrestling. This jealousy, hate, and envy is ridiculous. This business is about money and he got over, sold a ton of merchandise ( I went to a house show in the fall of 1990 in Detroit and warrior t shirts were sold out), and people showed up at arenas dressed like him just to see him. How I met your and the goldbergs are two very successful sitcoms in terms of longevity and both shows had episodes where main characters dressed like him. There were no episodes where people dressed like Brad Armstrong or arn Anderson. Warriors even appeared in character on arsenio hall and Regis and Kathie Lee. People would watch warrior than the 1001 moves of dean malenko.

Jim Ross can talk his shit now knowing that Warrior is dead and he won’t have to worry about running into him.

Trolls. Everyone who worked with Jim Hellwig said he was a crappy worker with no resepct for the business or any self-improvement. Id say most athletes on AEW actually try to learn their craft instead of just threatening to quit unless Kahn coughs up to show up! Jim was toxic for the business. I was embarrassed for being a fan of his.

The Warrior was over and made champ, the problem is Vince didn't even have a plan to line up bigs for him to conquer once he became champ. Can't keep the run going when it loses steam due to a lack of creative.

I respect JR, but why does everyone feel the need to shit on Ultimate Warrior? Considering how much flack he gets, he was an absolute heat magnet in his peak, and think about it: Hogan reigned over WWF for 5 years, the only guy that had the heat, pop and merch selling power was Warrior. Was he a student of the game, a selfless 'one of the boys'? No, but he was an equal to Hogan in popularity and drawing power for a brief time. Pro wrestling is a show, and Warrior had the talent of creating an amazing character, and generating a pop, 99% of wrestlers can't touch and wish they could attain til today.

Jim Ross has always been biased towards the Ultimate Warrior; frankly, Jim Ross is overrated on the mic compared to the likes of Jesse “the body” Ventura and Bobby Heenan.

Summer Slam 92, Savage vs. Warrior, seems to me like he could wrestle and take bumps, just like Hogan, his wrestling style was different in Japan, don't judge by what the WWE has sold you for years.

Somebody needs to tell Stroky Ross to leave Ultimate Warrior’s name out of his mouth. I grew up in the 80’s and he was the man! On the same level as Hogan. Maybe not acting wise but definitely wrestling wise. WrestleMania 6 was epic and everybody cheered whenever Warrior beat Hogan. Jim Ross is a jackass!!! Warrior will always be my favorite wrestler, period! RIP Warrior #Goat

What a surprise. More old timers dissing the Warrior. He has his version of the time he worked in Oklahoma City. It's worth a listen then just taking good ol JR's word. Typical, he doesn't know how to work and has no moves. Should the Warrior be a technical wrestler like Bret or a high flyer like Mysterio? If your character is kind of like a superhero like Hogan, maybe you don't need to be flying around the ring or doing all these complex moves. All Superman has to do is punch a guy. Maybe he doesn't know how to work, but the guy can definitely sell. He did a good job selling to Undertaker in that casket. The Jake Roberts and Papa Shango skit was pretty out there, but it looked like he was working to sell those guys. JR trashed the Warrior then and is still trashing him. All I can assume is jealousy. Let it go JR, the man has passed. Don't take your bitterness to the grave also.

Jim Ross was not part of the WWF in the late 80s or 90s so I don’t know why he’s talking about it.
