Jim Thatcher - French Horn Overview

I really appreciated hearing what he had to say. My graduate professor was Calvin Smith who was a colleague of James Thatcher many years ago back in the day. I developed focal dystonia during my graduate years and had to abandon those dreams but I enjoy listening to others who realized their dreams. I do still play but I have to take it easy, something of which Hollywood studio players can't do.

The biggest thing is that so few college professors know that the 2nd horn has to be the best musician!!! Why is that? I have no idea. -_-

I just heard Jim say on another youtube that the 2nd horn has to match perfectly/blend perfectly what the 1st horn is doing. Maybe this is why..? (I'm paraphrasing him.)
