Adventure! Shopping List ASMR (Writing Sounds & Rolling Dice)

So I’ve recently been trying a playthrough of Baldur’s Gate 3 in honour mode (or ‘honor’ mode, whatever), and f***ing hell it’s probably the least relaxing way to play it, eh? No spoilers, but I’m currently working my way through the place that is underground and quite dark centimetre by centimetre just waiting for a Bulette to ruin my day. But I still yet live!
Anyway, that aside, BG3 in that mode is more about preparation and planning than actually playing, so I thought it might make a fun and silly video to do a shopping list of all the stuff that you might need for a campaign. In a pub, of course, because that’s where those things happen. There are lots of writing sounds, dice rolling sounds, 5e triggers, and keeping-my-voice-down-in-case-people-hear-me sounds. Enjoy!

🎙 What is ASMR? 🎧
ASMR (autonomous sensory meridian response) is synaesthesia of the soul. It’s a relaxing feeling, it’s a tingling down the spine, or it’s simply a sleep aid. Whether it’s being ‘held’ by someone you have confidence in, or ‘looked after’ by someone with authority, or just feeling ‘safe’ with someone you trust, it uses audio-visual triggers to enable you to let go of your worries and stresses - even just for a bit.
📽 What is FPC? 🎞
FPC (first person cinema) takes all the relaxing elements of ASMR but has much more of a focus on immersion and the suspension of disbelief. It’s kinda like being the main character in your own short movie, with popular figures you know and love, or entirely created worlds - just for you. There won’t be any visible mics or traditional triggers in these videos, and they will seem more unintentional than the usual ASMR videos - but they are unique and relaxing experiences designed to transport you to different places, worlds, and times.

Adventure Shopping List Addendum: Good on you, friend, for remembering toilet paper. That's important. However, you forgot a few essentials. Fire starter kit - flint and steel or bow drill. Water canteen. Tea. Can't survive without tea. Thermos to keep tea hot. Towels. Always know where your towel is. First aid kit stocked with bandages, antiseptics, scissors, tweezers, pain relieving potions, etc. Prophylactics of the rubber kind. Because we know how adventuring parties frequent houses of negotiable affection and/or hook up with each other. Be prepared. Be safe. Pads and tampons - obvious uses, but also double for first aid uses. Handkerchiefs or bandanas. Extra gloves, socks, and underwear. Because you don't want to die wearing dirty or holey underwear. Extra boots. Pocket knife. Sewing needles and thread. Ball of string. Sea salt. Bar of soap. Nail clippers. Toothbrush. Comb. Now for food: Doritos, pizza rolls, beef jerky, ramen noodles, string cheese sticks, Twizzlers licorice sticks, M&M's, Reese's peanut butter cups, candy bars (variety), goldfish crackers, pudding cups, cookies/biscuits (variety). Finally, quill and ink or pencil and paper. You'll want to send postcards to folks back home, picturing all the exotic places you've visited and detailing your adventures. Have fun!

Love this 😂 Practical too. Something that fantasy often brushes over is the sheer amount of STUFF people are carrying (but I guess when you can hoard thousands in gold and carry all this random stuff around-weapons, old books, the armour of your foes, etc- until you find a merchant to sell it to, it doesn’t really matter). In games at least. In books it’s more…realistic?

"You win, you get to pay for potions!" What!? If I win, its you who has to pay for potions! Thats like, "lets toss a coin, heads I win, tales you loose." It's worked in a pinch before, sure, but not between friends! Especially friends going on an adventure where resources are shared!😅 I'm just poking fun, but if I were able to to go on an adventure like this, we would split costs to who is more skilled and knowledgeable about the contents. For example, instead of buying pre-made potions which are costly, I would get the ingreidants, you would get the appliances and tools and we make what we actually need instead of what might work to serve our purpose. Working united instead of divided built on compromise alone is not going to be a strong enough foundation for a sucsessful adventure. But we CAN do this!!!

I am imaging the viewer is an elf, in a very nicely embroidered casual, unisex day wear robe, already on an adventure exploring the human established part of the region outside of the elvin realm. The curious elf has found a fascinating half human, half elf specimen and is being thoroughly entertained by his hilarious boyish immaturity. This specimen seems to have devolved into having the worst traits of the two types of characteristic trickery found in the worst of both human and elvin cultures. Although totally inept at carrying it off as a seamless ploy. Enigmatic elf is just playing along and being thoroughly entertained by his naivety and half arsed rougishness, while soaking it all up to tell as a comic tale upon returning home. I, would love to sit and listen to this guy's basically harmless devilment, trying to scab off of people who are not as gullible as he believes. So clueless. Such a boy! Quite physically attractive though and the sheer cheeky cuteness is very engaging. I wonder if I could change him🤔 ......Yeah nah RUN!
