Three big Grayling for supper. Now that's a true addict. What great scenery. Not a lot to compare to it. Some places in the Rockies I've seen. Thanks for posting all of this. Must be a lot of work setting a camera on shore, then having to go back for it against the current or at least walking back to it. Can you start a full size car with the Bluetti?

Hi Jim, positive, I completely agree with you. I chose such an exposed location in a big forrest on the top of a mountain and under a 300-year-old maple tree as my campsite. This place was simply ideal, had magic and a great all-round view. A stream flowed at the foot. As I later learned from a local friend, this site was a poorly looted Bronze Age burial mound. Alex greets you from the German Vulkan-Eifel
@JimBairdAdventurer Жыл бұрын
Sound like a great spot you e found there. Love the Bronze Age connection. This spot would have also been well above the river so, not in a area that would flood in spring with all the snow run off.

I actually dint eat rolled oats at home very often at all. I’m not sure if I’ll move there. Maybe but I like Northern Ontario a lot because of all the lakes and interconnected waterways for one.

To take solo outdoor adventures takes a special character. I don’t know if it’s because I’ve gotten older or what, but when I’m on some sort of solo camping/hunting/fishing trip where I’m a long way away from my wife, kids, and now, grandkids, I get to feeling melancholy in my aloneness, and I almost ache to be home with my loved ones. I don’t remember being like that when I was younger and single, but it started getting bad in my 40’s and even worse now that I’m in my 50’s.
@TheFlatlander440 Жыл бұрын
Absolutely wonderful photography Jim. Hands down, one of the best segments to date. I noticed at that camp where you believed a structure of some sort was constructed, those mounds reminded me of burial plots. Just wondering out loud, haha. The rock column where the Eagle was perched actually looked like a perched Eagle from a distance. Thanks for sharing your journey and adventure. Cheers from the Northwoods of Vermont.
