Some observations ...why is the combine operating with The auger hanging out all of the time until it is parked and then the auger is swung in? The Full grain cart pulled under the combine when the combine only had a little bit in The tank, then the combine had to wait while he was offloading onto the truck. It just seems like a little bit of in efficient operation that's all

Great video. Question: What does the combine driver do if the combine gets filled up before the end of the row??
@gregbaldwin51445 жыл бұрын
Good question! He needs to always be sure he's on an outside row so he can pull over and wait if needed. If you fill up and you're surrounded by corn you have a problem! You obviously cant drive over the corn and if you just keep running it will just spill over side of grain tank. I've had it happen before when I messed up estimating how full I was or simply wasn't paying close enough attention. You end up having to back up to where you started. Sometimes you can cut across the rows to get out if you have to but yes you have to be aware of how full the grain tank is if you pull in rows that have corn on either side of you!
