I cant tell you how many times I've been caught red handed speeding and simply by being respectful and cordial the state trooper let me go with a warning or far lesser ticket so that my car would not be towed or I arrested. This happened to me I evaded police when I was playing lights with a douche in San Luis Obispo. I ditched my car and skipped town. It wasn’t skill that helped me most of all, maybe balls to run away when I saw the lights in my rear view, but ultimately it was luck. Cop blew past the turn I took and got on the freeway thinking he was going to catch me out in the open. It situations like this it’s luck of the draw and who blinks first you or the police, with you being the one that stands to lose the most. Damn
