I mean honestly I've never heard Michael play anything remotely impressive. Fucking tremendous composer and arranger and certainly a fantastic bassist but I definite haven't ever heard him play anything particularly inspiring, even in Snarky Puppy. He's even talked in interviews about how little time he's spent practicing outside of college. His faces are 10/10 though, looks like he had time to practice those pretty good.

For me personally, seeing him play, lead, groove, jam and solo, he has been my greatest inspiration as a performer so far. Anyways, all that to say, I really think you'll enjoy these!

@rodrigocostamagna38964 жыл бұрын
@@lilkujo Yes I did!! My point is, and taking your example as mine now, Pastorius wrote the song, and also created a way of thinking on bass. Besides, Continum is, perhaps, the most played bass line in the history of electric bass. Henry did a good job there, showing he has the standard to play at that level, League was a good companion. I understand bassists looking for the light to follow the way. But this guy, is not able to do anything for the bass history. Music?
@lilkujo4 жыл бұрын
@@rodrigocostamagna3896 I hear you. I will clarify my view by stating i don't personally put any connection between ML and Jaco as him trying to be the next Jaco because I don't even know if we'll ever have that. Besides all these humans who aren't ML (or any other bassist for that reason) that bring up that Jaco comparison I wonder what the actual bassist think. I don't feel like he wants to be the next anything but he's creating his own path as a musician with his funky groove and his brain child Snarky Puppy. So I do agree with you in some regards.
