Probably kind of keeping an eye on Jimbo (smashed) throughout and wondering what Jimbo was going to do next 😳 ...while busting out some riff at the same time huh 😂 (He was joking around not saying the Door's ...you can hear him laugh at the end when he didn't ...(Maybe quick enough thinking out of respect for the other member's of the Door's not to say the band's name (as he knew it was being recorded) and as he knew Jimbo was smashed ? 🤔 ...) ...the little lead part's were incredible with all the whammy bar throughout ... Imagine if he'd had a year's later guitar with lock nut/ floyd rose or khaler/ seymore duncan's and the improved equipment/ effect's of today etc It would have been interesting for sure any album's he would have made ! ...Particularly when you listen to the cry of love ...he was a master beyond ! ... Jimi ! ✝️

I was in the house that. Morrison was a bit tipsy and Jimi was wearing a big black Zorro hat. After a while Morrison pulled off Jimi's hat and to everybody's surprise Jimi was wearing big hair rollers in his hair. It was so funny till Jimi jumped in Morrison's Face and you could see Morrison was afraid and gave Jim his had back right away and walked off the stage. To bad no photo.

I bought this back in 1970, it was a bootleg called “ Sky High”. Jim Morrison was totally stoned at the time. I think it was a club in Sweden they were playing in.

Well sir, you can’t title it “sky high” if Morrison isn’t stoned high to the gills. This is like an ocean being called soaking wet. The title fits perfectly.

At 2 minutes they hit a groove. but...I had the 1st bootleg. Morrison yells uck e woman...all night looong. And these mumblings. They, Jimi and Johnny Winter got into a good groove somewhere. Obviously the classic Beatles track here. Bad but interesting bootleg but then they re released it like 5 times. The worst cover was Woke Up This Morning and Found Myself Dead...in 1974.

That’s definitely Hendrix on guitar on this song. I don’t know about the rest of the ‘album’/evening.
@brianwells45072 ай бұрын
@psidvicious y'know you're probably right on this song. I've had the bootleg 33 1/3 album of the show since '76. On that amateur at best recording you can tell who's playing on what though. Johnny Winter had this bizarre really fast vibroto on the blues jam while trading licks with Jimi. But one impromptu jam has this really heavy Bass playing, sometimes it's playing lead, if I can explain it properly? Jim Morrison is clearly 10 sheets to the wind, just kinda howling incoherently! It's just basically a historic moment in rock history overall. Johnny Winter later said in a interview, "man that's not me playing"? Sounded more like he was embarrassed more than anything! It's a damn shame that due to the artists being under contract there wasn't a better collaboration it would've been incredible if it did happen!

Morrison had a decent vocal delivery of the commercial songs Robbie Krueger wrote. Morrison’s words were junk. Morrison’s immature drunken behavior ruined the Doors. His on stage antics were in poor taste. Morrison said his parents were dead, in an effort to hide he was a military brat. Morrison’s admiral dad was involved in the fake Gulf of Tolkien incident, which drove America into the Vietnam conflict. This resulted in thousands of young Americans being killed and maimed. Morrison’s horrible heroine girlfriend caused the ultimate trouble, Morrison’s death in Paris.
