I was at this concert at Blackpool. 15 years old and my first live show which also featured Pink Floyd, The Nice and 4 other bands. Two shows on the same night and I still have the ticket to prove it! Phenomenal!

The concert was at the Blackpool Opera House in England on Saturday November 26th 1967 the Experience performed two shows, the video is from the second show. This was part of their second European tour with four other bands on the bill. They had a camera crew recording and the last two songs of the night, Purple Haze and Wild Thing featured in the Documentary ‘ Experience ‘ released in 1968. The bands left most of their equipment at the venue and unfortunately over night a break in occurred resulting in damage to some of the equipment, including a guitar. Was it one of Jimi’s, who knows ! Noel Redding later wrote in his dairy that the audience at both shows were terrible however the sound was exceptionally good. Hope this helps !

Jimi was something different that came along and gave the world's youth what it really needed. Was he a guitar God, no I'm afraid not but an innovator yeah cause without him you wouldn't have had alot of music that came after him. Idk it's all kind of sloppy sounding to me and definitely out of tune also lol. I mean just listen to this song here it's definitely not a great version or anything close to it. People just saying this stuff cause they love jimi so let's be honest this really doesn't sound good at all. He did things nobody else did at the time that's why he was so big. Don't get me wrong I like hendrix and he inspired alot of artists but he could have tightened things up a bit for sure.
