I just watched Jimin on Jimmy Fallon and when asked about the album, Jimin said the songs on the album are chronologically all the feelings he had during the pandemic. So now I am super curious where this song falls chronologically. And I absolutely love the Synthwave feel of this song! Personally, I prefer SMF2 over LC, but I think it's important to note that this is really an ALBUM listen, and the music itself takes you on a journey. I think LC did an EXCELLENT job depicting the concept of avoiding and covering up how you are really feeling by distracting yourself with other things like alcohol, partying, relationships/sex, but that in the end you are still left with yourself and those feelings that isolate you and keep you stuck in the muck. It also perfectly occupies its placement in the arc of the album and the journey through depression. Lyrically, one song flows to the next, so I really don't think it's exactly a fair question to ask which we like better💜
