@ - I really appreciate always appreciate how you take the time to make a point of reading all my comments, which at times can be lengthy. But there is especially concerning Jimin, but also other certain members of BTS, so much more that goes into the songs, especially if written & composed by them. After reading this note, it also might further explain why j8min opted for a more vintage older sounding melody that he chose to compose. Since he was trying to convey childhood memories of snow as well as this holiday season, in hopes it would do the same for others, especially since during the pandemic many might need a bit of joy and cheerful sentimental feelings this song might invoke. 👍🙏😇🥰❄️☃️🎄✨

it grew on me as it went. In the beginning I thought it was just sweet and simple. I liked it but it was kind of just there. But then it became more layered and unexpected and I really enjoyed it by the end.

@ I think it’s just more my own taste, I prefer complex and flashy to simple. So as it got more layered I got more interested. For me a really paired down song has to be really powerful to work. The reason I wasn’t a huge pop fan before kpop is it’s usually simple but also superficial and while it can be catchy it gets old fast. Pop Christmas music in particular. I like kpop for being more complex with its beat switch ups and layering and whatnot. But yeah this method of starting off basic but elevating each part as the song progresses is more old school in kpop and I usually end up liking the song more by the end when it’s written this way.

❄️ I really appreciate that you reacted to Jimin’s “Christmas Love”, though it’s a bit disheartening if you indeed didn’t also make a point of looking up the English translation of the lyrics that Jimin took time & effort, as well as thought into. Pouring out all his feelings & emotions, joy & excitement, that this time of yr brings to him! He even created interest internationally for his use of a Korean word that is hard to translate to English “Sobak sobak” ❄️ meaning snow dropping or falling. * “Sobok sobok” is an ideophone - or “a word that evokes an idea in sound“. It is difficult to grasp the truest meaning in the English language, in which such “sensory” words are less common. One of the most widely known ideophone in English, though, would be “Twinkle twinkle” to describe the glow of lights or stars. Jimin loves snow & this time of yr which he expresses so beautifully with such warmth, emotion & feeling. That I feel it’s a pity that the songs lyrics weren’t translated. This song meant so much to Jimin that he even posted a note of the motivation & sentiment that went into this song along with the lyrics he wrote, that he wanted to share with others in hope that he might share the joy of the holiday, & hopefully get others more uplifted even though it was indeed during the pandemic! Which made this song all the more meaningful that he took the time to make a point of releasing right during the holidays that yr. Jimin had such a busy schedule at the time, but knowing how much this song meant to him, RM motivated Jimin that much more by actually being so thoughtful & caring to send him lyrics for the first lines of the song, to inspire and motivate. RM’s lyrics for the first line of the song, did just that motivated Jimin not only to finish writing the lyrics, but did it in just a couple of days. Jimin already composed the melody, which he usually does first. 🙏👍😍🎄☃️🤩🥰

I almost always go and look up the lyrics after the video on Doolset Bangtan, that is always one of the downsides of going in blind to songs. although I did not go read the hand written note, but honestly, that is the most Jimin thing I have heard, that and making gifts for ARMY seems so him.

@@Killdeer25 - Personally, I always feel that the lyrics can be way more meaningful & poignant, by choosing to look for an English Lyric vid, for translation, to react to instead. Though at times the translation isn’t always as accurate, though usually one can still get the meaning behind the lyrics through these translation vids. Even Color coding is not always accurate. Which is why watching live performances is also a good way to find out who is actually singing certain parts. There are many performances that have Eng subs, which is always a good idea to add Eng subs when searching, The best most accurate, as well as equally important, safe to post channel for mainly live BTS performances is * Enjoy BTS More *. There are certain channels better, more accurate at eng lyric translations, but those aren’t necessarily the ones that have the most views. At times, often the ones that have the most views are the ones that are rushed, meaning, a but careless with translation, just to be able to post the vid faster then other channels, thus ending up getting most views. Then later on, many choose those to react to, believing that they’re the best most accurate, when that’s not always the case. That’s why you ultimately going to Doolset, later on, can still be good, but as I mentioned, knowing what is actually being said tends to make one appreciate the vocal quality, the emphasis, the inflections, the emotion while singing that much more. I feel it really makes one appreciate the use of vocal techniques appiled while singing that much more to emphasize certain parts to evoke more sincerity & emotion, making the listener feel that much more what Jimin was trying to convey. 👍🙏😅❤️‍🔥🔥😇🥰

JIMIN was the one who rewrote some of the lyrics of Mistletoe, that originally was a Justin Bieber song, to give his own take on this song.. I really believe that this song should be re-released officially because it just so amazing as well as a timeless Christmas song that could be heard annually. it was released way back in 2014.
