Jimin was never really a stable vocal. He's always said he cried in washrooms before music show performances in the past. Boy has a unique voice but somehow he can't sing properly, and he's just too nervous. He didn't have the confidence to release a solo album, but he just needed to. If he's doing more solo projects in the future he needs to work on his vocals, he's left it out too long, I've been noticed changes since dynamite era and i knew this day would come. As much as i agree with the criticism, i also feel bad for him.

I've been singing for over a decade, so I think I have some place to speak besides the fact of my opinion itself. I love the fact that you put some encores that have the background sound very loud, a clear example of Kai that you can't even hear the voice live and even the hwasa herself. I don't pass up the fact that he needs to improve his VOCAL TECHNIQUES, but to say he was horrible? No, he wasn't. He simply semi-toned the music, due to the fact that it is not heard and often this happens and the headphones he uses (roughly speaking) are to keep himself in tune. There are some singers who find it easy to continue in tune even without listening to the instruments and others don't, maybe that's his case.

Though Jimin has been given a lead vocal position in BTS, he is first and foremost a dancer so he's never gonna be able to give a vocal performance as strong as the likes of main vocals like Taeil, Doyoung, Jonghyun, Hwasa or even Beyonce. But his song is on his level vocally so he should be able to carry it.

The title track of his album is actually pretty good and although he’s a very talented dancer, he lacks vocally, so much that he’s a weaker vocalist than a lot of sub-vocalists of other groups, despite acquiring the lead vocal position in BTS. He relies heavily on layers upon layers of autotune and that’s why he’s not a very good live singer. All of his vocal flaws have always been guised and he’s probably never even actually tried to improve his vocal technique (support, pitch etc) because he’s never had to worry about being scrutinised as a soloist, without his group, or Jungkook, specifically, making up for his lack of vocal talent. It’s never been any surprise that BTS don’t have the strongest vocalists in the industry anyway but coming from someone so successful, especially when his fans put him on such a high pedestal, this is just disappointing and blatantly humiliating.
