Jimin, a member of BTS, has released several solo tracks under the group's name, including "Lie" in 2016, "Serendipity" in 2017, and "Filter" in 2020. All of these songs have charted on South Korea's Gaon Digital Chart. In 2018, Jimin co-wrote and released his first solo track titled "Promise." He also recorded a duet called "With You" with Ha Sung-woon for the soundtrack of the TvN drama "Our Blues" in 2022. Jimin's debut solo album, "Face," was released in 2023 and debuted at number one in South Korea and Japan, and number two in the United States. The album's second single, "Like Crazy," debuted at number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. Jimin has made history by becoming the highest-charting Korean solo artist of all time on the Billboard 200 and the first to top the Hot 100.

SET ME FREE is a song in SUGA's mixtape D-2. Jimin said this when he was asked why he named it SET ME FREE PT.2, “There isn’t a connection, and we weren’t trying to divide part one or part two. But since it turns out my song talks about freedom and moving forward, and SUGA’s song talks about some of the stories that come before, I thought it would be good to come after that.”

He has a German poem on his skin from an Austrian poet Rainer Maria Rilke. It translates to “I live my life in ever-widening circles that stretch themselves out over all the things. I won’t, perhaps, complete the last one, but I intend on trying. I circle around God, around the ancient tower, and I circle for thousands of years; and I don’t know, yet: am I a falcon, a storm, or a mighty song” Other German speakers do say that last part could also be choir instead of song. His album Face uses ripples in the design and he has talked about the circle of resonance in his pre-release promo information. The poem definitely relates to his overall messaging.

I'd try "a mighty hymn". "Gesang" is not "song" it's more of the act of singing. But it also used in for example theater/Opera etc. Since the poem is religious - and theater historical had that connection and a choir - "hymn" may fit better.

Jimin DEFINATELY doesn’t need autotune but it adds a different element to the song. It’s amazing!! Jimin is amazing!! And his newer song Like Crazy is completely different and it’s amazing too!! He has his first solo album out now and …….. yep you guessed it…… it’s freaking amazing!! 😂💜 He really is a multi talented artist 💜💜💜 A lot of people don’t like this song but like his new song and vice versa. I think they are both awesome 💜 Oh and thank you for your reaction 😂 it was great. And I just love you both for supporting our Jimin 💜💜💜 Couple more quick things…… tattoos were drawn/painted on and it’s a German poem and yeah like others have said, no part 1 by Jimin. "Set me free pt.2" is a strong song with a very important meaning that must be remembered. Jimin suffered for many years under the pressure of being and acting the way others wanted him to, leaving aside his real way of being and personality. In his song "Lie", he talks about how he felt trapped and asks for freedom, here with "Set me free pt 2" we see that he is finally free and is proud of it, being able to be who he is, without fear and not caring about what the haters say. 💜

The poem is in it's original German on his body not English. "Poetry in translation is like taking a shower with the raincoat on." Personally I'd translate it a little differently but it gets the point across. (I'd end with "a might hymn" - for a few reasons - but to each their own.) 💜

Which is why I'm a little surprised about those translations but it is a question of what you prioritize in translations: the meaning has to be there but how close do you get: direct translation? form? poetic version? in fact, Jimin do have tattoos on, but yes the "shirt tattoos" are fake tattoos. His actual tattoos are on his back, it's a serie of moon phases along the spine, you could see them at the end of the video. Besides that one, he also has tattooed NEVERMIND across his ribs. Those are the biggest ones and a few others on neck, arms and wrist

Guys don't know how to add the link but easy to find. This smallish concert you must view to see the very best of BTS. It is an award show but you don't see anything about awards,( bts takes a total sweep) so what's left is the group to perform which actually I thought was a concert when I first saw it. I was a professional ballet, tap, freestyle and contemporary dancer back in the day and haven't seen any great dancers since leaving NY, Miami, Cincinnati and other cities since I danced back then. I was hooked the day I saw bts doing this epic show. You'll see great rap, solo dances (rare treat) and hardcore choreo. The stage sets are awesome! See it you wont be sorry. There is a shooting sketch that shows the physical set and all the hidden goodies as well as Jimin explaining the thoughts when he wrote it and thought of the theme. The writing on his body is not a shirt. It is a famous German poem "Living My Life in Ever Widening Circles " from the 1890's 💜

Billboard changed the rules again and for his second week songsales for Jimin were over 60% filtered: you can buy a song only once with an e.mail (and perhaphs the IP adress also plays a role IDK). But it may be enough for the first week. And with all streaming plattforms and radio sabotaging them it may become very difficult.

This song (to be free/moving forward) is just like a continuation about Suga's own Set Me Free (what comes before and a bit dark) It's not really related but he did specify in an interview, " 'Set Me Free' is a song about precisely that, being allowed to be one's true self. " He wasn't wearing a shirt it was a German poem "Ich lebe mein Leben in wachsenden Ringen” by Rainer Maria Rilke. The scenery in which Jimin dances is inspired by Jeremy Bentham's panopticon, which is an architectural design that is often used in prisons, where all the cells are distributed in a circle and in the middle of them is a watchtower. The idea that the design is inspired by a prison is directly related to the message of the song, which is about the search for freedom. In one part of the MV, Jimin appears with several words written on his chest. This is a German poem by Rainer Maria Rilke, it is written in german, which contains the following message: "I live my life in widening circles that extend over the whole world. I may not complete this last one, but I want to try. I revolve around a God, that primordial tower, and I have been revolving for millennia, and I still don't know: Am I a hawk, a storm or a great song?"

Taeyeon is a member of 2nd Generation. legendary girl's Group Girls Generation also known as SNSD. I can not wait to hear your comments on her vocals. You will be surprised. She is under SM Entertainment along with some of the most popular KPop groups, many i asked in comments below for you to review. SM has an amazing stable of artists. I also think that you will enjoy the vocals in Red Velvet's song PSYCHO. Red Velvet was the very first KPop group to ever perform in N. Korea! That says a lot about their talent! Please make a video with SHINee....Ring Ding Dong and also Don't Call Me in the same video. Also a video with Super Junior...Sorry, Sorry and House Party. Both groups are Second Gen KPop. EXO ( pronounced X·O) and BTS are Third Gen KPop. EXO debuted before BTS and have tremendously out earned them. Research it. Super Junior is celebrating 19 years! The eldest members turn 40 this year and they are still active! Thank yall for your show which is one of the better review channels! Might yall consider reading wikipedia on the artists prior to recording to have a bit of background info? S. Korea has manditory military service and in some instances public service. BTS has focused OT7. So they are doing solo projects as members enlist. Other groups like Super Junior and EXO continued to perform as members rotated in and out for their service. With BTS concept OT7, they couldn't do that. I had hoped BTS would perform Maknae line (younger members) as Hyung line served, then Hyung Line (older members) while Maknaes served. Hasn't happened yet. It would have kept them active as subgroups and still in the public eye awaiting the comeback of OT7. I can understand them wanting solo time. That is cool. You asked about BTS performing in China. Right now the Chinese Gov't has banned KPop citing the feminism of Korean men in the industry, as in makeup and feminine clothing styles. Super Junior just performed in Mexico and South America. EXO has as well and EXO sings in Spanish. EXO and Super Junior had Chinese subunits originally. Neither have them due to the restrictions and Chinese members leaving the groups. Lay, a Chinese member, remains active with EXO. Jason Derulo featuring Lay (from EXO) and NCT 127 released ...Shut Up and Dance. Check it out! It is very catchy. 💕🔦💕

It's ok if you didn't get it. We are musicians and artist that work in the graphics, web and video production fields. We talk about the song and meaning to us then we talk about the art direction of the video then we go on tangents. it's how we do. If we didn't like it or were bored with it. It would've died on the cutting room floor. We don't put up videos of stuff we don't like because art is subjective. Something that may not vibe with us might vibe with someone else. Who are we to say that it's not good.
