❣JiMiN, since a little boy, after seeing the anime One Piece & the character Zoro, he wanted to be the greatest swordsman in the world! (even then he had to be the greatest at whatever he did)!! So for 8 yrs, trained in various forms of martial arts, achieving Blackbelt in Taekwondo, also Kumdo (Korean form of kendo), & Chinese discipline.mjimin was so good, he was the only one given a scholarship to go to China to study more intensely! This is where Jimin got that amazing inner core strength & flexibility that he applies to many if his gravity defying dance moves. Jimin also, since 11-12 , studied, performed m & competed i(winning every competition) in hip hop, popping (which he excels in), & street dancing while attending the renowned Busan Just Dance Academy. An instructor there even waived his tuition fee (which is quite costly). Jimin also was intending middle school where he joined the football team, excelled in track, awesome in basketball as well. Jimin is actually quite amazing at pool/billiards as well. Jimin then went on to study & perform contemporary dance. The media even called Jimin "The Rising Star of Busan" in an article after seeing him perform at a huge Busan festival concert! Jimin also studied ballet & traditional Korean dance. Jimin even had an overseas was offer but turned it down because he wanted to sing and be a performer instead, to the dismay of one of his instructors at the Busan High School of the Arts, saying "The world of dance was going to lose a great artist"!!

The question is more like what didn't Jimin do while in school. I can tell you what he did tho, he was in his football soccer team, table tennis team, he did both Kendo and Taekwondo, he trained in hip hop, contemporary (he did this one the shortest but still was so good he got offered a scholarship to study abroad but he rejected it to join BTS), and korean traditional dance. He was a valedictorian, with the top grades in Math, and Science, he was also class president for 9 years, and he had his own fanclub at school, even before he was an idol.

As an ex-studio dancer , I really see how much training Jimin had! He does things so elegantly and fluidly it amazes me Some of the flips he did took me years to try and others I couldn’t even come close to mastering them. It really amazes me and makes me appreciate how hard working Jimin is 💛

Until this day most army aren't aware that Jimin excelled in Martial arts because his company never promoted Jimin's skills like what they did to JK. So when people watched videos like this some were surprised to the point they are questioning how come they never heard about Jimin being good on martial arts. Jimin never brags about it, even the other members didn't talks about it. He is in fact had the highest rank in taekwondo among all the BTS members which is Blackbelt. The one having the most impressive background coz he was also trained for 8 long years in Kumdo/geomdo (korean kendo) the only freshman student who was chosen to have a short training for martial arts in China. I believe Jimin attended on that scholarship training the way he excelled in everything he do, though there's no statement that Jimin accepted that offer but who knows?

Ok Jimin has a black belt in taekwondo higher than JK's belt and learned Kumdo( korean version of kendo sword fighting) he learned martial arts longer than he learn how to dance. He was sent to china to study and compete. He is that good.

Jimin is absolutely amazing not only in singing and most people think he is just good in dancing and singing but is actually very good at a lot of things. His talent is also something people should appreciate too. As an OT7 stan, I love all of them eaually and they all have such amazing and unique talents that i am in love with. 💜

It was never stated in any interviews or articles that Jimin rejected his scholarship training in China. No one knows if he pursued it or not..it was just a training hence it won't take that long. So we never know. It was his offer to dance overseas he rejected because he also want to be an idol and be a singer as well.

The scholarship to China was for a week of advanced martial arts training. Jimin was the only first-year high school student who went. 💜

Jimin is one of my biases. He was my first one but then Yoongi became my ult. I consider my bias line to be Yoongi, Jimin, and Jungkook. Also Jimin has a black belt in Taekwondo and is trained in kendo. He's an elegant and beautiful contemporary and modern dancer but he's also a bad ass. He also played soccer
