Like this fun, funny conversation. Have always respected Ed Begley for his work, comedy, and environmentalism especially ... His is a true example of low carbon footprint living unlike most celebrities...continues 13 years later. Thank you as always Jiminy Martin Short...you are always at the top of your game, or biz, show biz that is

One of the worst I’ve seen. And I think Short knew this wasn’t his best work either. I think he slipped in a self-critique with his line “Well, this has been mediocre.”

I think Short was being truthful with how he felt when he said, “this has been mediocre.” I think he was critiquing himself a bit. He wasn’t quite as sharp as usual. He stayed with the ongoing joke of Begley never winning an Academy Award (or any award) for too long in this one. He kept mining that… even though it didn’t have much legs after the first quip. Not one of his better Glick bits.

I love Jiminy Gluck, but he was a bit cruel here. Martin says he never jokes about real things, like calling a fat person fat, however of course Ed probably won’t ever win an Oscar. I just thought he went s big too hard in this one. Ed was such a great sport about it.

I respect martin Short's great talents - and I like the great majority of the Jiminy Glick interviews - but this one wasn't great. It really puts the interviewee (though most are in on the joke) in a tough position. Begley is great at improv, and seems like a very nice guy, but this one wasn't so good.

These live ones they did suck. He doesn't stay in the character's voice. He goes in and out of it. And it's obvious he doesn't know what to say, cause you can see him fumbling trying to think of something because he wasn't prepared. His regular ones are the funniest thing you'll ever see, but I haven't found one of these live ones that's been any good.
