At first I was like '"How's Catherine going to react to him?" Then I remembered its Martin Short and they worked together for years. I understand that Catherine had a crush on Short before they worked together on SCTV. If theres any question, they're still very good friends and have worked together a few times since. O'Hara and Short have both made between 30-40 movies on their own. Short was/is also a highly acclaimed Broadway stage actor. Sadly, his wife died in 2010 of ovarian cancer. He has four adopted children. Catherine is married to three- time, oscar nominated production designer and director Bo Welch. They have two children together. This is starting to read like a wiki article.

Acting … she's just amplifying being a touch freaked out, which is what you're supposed to do in improv. These are two old pros, both from Irish Catholic backgrounds with lots of Second City stage time, so they're like a pair of very experienced, professional wrestling partners, who've long since learned how to make the match look as good as possible.
