Jimmy walker was great on good Times and still is the greatest.

Jimmy Walker starred as JJ on the hit show GOOD TIMES! And that is why some people don't know who he is. His comedy is more of a CLASSIC, because he tells the history of the GOLDEN YEARS, when he's doing stand-up and, when he's being serious! 😮

Sounds amazingly young! He's pretty funny, too(able to hold a conversation, as well)...I'm not nearly as old(46 if I Iive until March '25), but I know about TV before FOX well('90) and the TV morning on sequence/cutoff sequence...

He sounds almost the same as he did on Good Times. He looks fantastic for his age. He's got to be in his mid-sixties by now.
@pattrell525711 күн бұрын
@tapewerm6716 77 actually. He was 31 or 32, before GT went off the air. Months older than my uncle, who was HS age before my mom was even born. And, like I said, I'm not far from 46...

I didn't know he ever did! I thought he was just a funny actor from Good Times. Literally everyone I knew used to say "DYNOMITE!!!!" every chance we got when that show was out. Also good was The Jeffersons, Sanford & Son, Hawaii Five-O, All in the Family, The Beverly Hillbillies, Get Smart, Hogan's Heroes, too many to name. The 70's were the golden decade of TV in my opinion.

At 59, I remember mom sending me up to the roof to move the antenna, the foil for the rabbit ear antennas, the signing off, Jerry Lewis MDA telethon, Carol Burnett and most everything was done before an actual live audience. Good times...lol

I always respected this man's Art. I often wanted to catch one of his shows when out west on business but the people I had to do business with gave me a vibe I would not be welcomed in any of those spaces. I am no Jimmy Walker so i just avoided nightlife in those areas. This man is a true badass if you can capture them folks and work the areas with success. Bravo Mr Walker

@davidbeazley1958 If you were watching this 8 days ago and didn't realise the recording is from the Obama years then you are excused for thinking the jokes were current. Do the jokes seem stale, yeah because he is talking to an audience from 2012ish. But garbage? That's a stretch. Not his fault that his comedy seems stale12-13 years later.
