They do actually look pretty good. Maybe love keeps them young. I’ve volunteered with premies. I’ve always said love is the thing that makes them fight to stay alive. They feel love and they want more so they decide to stick around. 🥰 Maybe it applies to old folks in love too. ☺️

I can think of 2 serious problems that the Carters have been quite open about when they almost came to divorce. I’m sure that there are others that they have kept private. Let’s face it, staying married for 75 years is very, very, hard work, with a lot of ups and downs along the way. Congratulations Rosalynn and Jimmy!

My grandma and grandpa were married for 75 years. Sad thing is my grandma died on their 75th wedding anniversary in 2019. She held on just long enough…. ♥️

While some may argue that Jimmy Carter was not the best president, he ain't nothing like trump and carried his years in the white house without scandal! Here’s a prediction that many people won’t agree with, but I happen to believe: Jimmy Carter will eventually catch Ronald Reagan, and will eventually surpass him in the all time Presidential rankings as judged by Presidential historians. It may take another 50-100 years, but eventually it will happen. Mark my words.

I am 60 now, old enough to KNOW want we lost over the last 40 years and it is a big deal! Reagan was nothing but a nice Hollywood face for the republican party, he destroyed a robust economy and the jobs that came after him paid less, people lost pensions often with lifetime health coverage, personal savings, and moving forward they shifted healthcare from employers to employees gradually. The 30 year company career ended and people were restarting every 3 to 7 years with benefits zeroed out and renegotiated at every job change. Nope, lived it, it sucks and Reagan started it all by breaking unions and playing into the hands of the owners. While Nixon started the war on drugs, Reagan weaponized it and screw Nancy "just say no" too! Reagan was a POS compared to Jimmy Carter, remember the Contra scandal and Oliver North? The youngsters of today have no idea what we lost over 40 years, it's not taught in schools and the people that know will be dead in a decade or two. Bernie Sanders was our modern FDR but both major parties destroyed him because he would repair a broken system, something that that would disappoint their handlers and benefactors. Carter may have been the most intelligent president of modern times, while he did not hold lofty "paid for" degrees like many others, his nuclear career path was impressive, he was far more than a peanut farmer from Georgia. Enough said, just hearing Reagans name struck a nerve! God bless Jimmy Carter!

My own parents were like this. Ww2 meeting. Yet, I have always admired former President Jimmy Carter of Georgia. He had a rough time as President. He wasn’t re-elected. But, he was peaceful in his life, and heart. He built a new life as a peace negotiator in the Middle East. Roslyn Carter went with him. They were devoted members of their church as well. Still are! (Thank you for this video from southern Colorado! ) Very uplifting..! We need more examples of aging with grace, love of community and humor!

He's a great man and I hope he has more years to come. He's probably one of the last honest presidents and had so much integrity and kindness in him and we're so far away from that today. I know he was led by a different code than most others. He did everything he could to live like God wanted him to and may God continue to bless these wonderful two people. Forced to “retire” at age 56, he has made good use of his talents on behalf of those less fortunate; and enjoyed hobbies such as hiking, fishing, and woodworking.
