Long time Real Madrid fan here, since I was a child. For the boys that didn't have the chance to see Roberto Carlos in his prime and only have seen the highlights: he was really inaccurate with his free kicks. Like, 9 over 10 were several meters outside the goal. But in that rare occasion in which the ball went between the three sticks, it was always a screamer. Other than that, the best left side defender I've ever seen, by FAR

Sorry but if you look closely to RC free kick, it's looks like it's way of target then it goes in the back of the net. So in my opinion jimmy's 8s not the same as roberto cause he aims straight to the top corner with just a little bend.... Comon jimmy you can do better than that or can't you ?

In fairness, Jimbo’s FK did have the curl on it (not as much as Roberto’s), but the Carlos free kick had more time (distance) to get the Magnus effect going. Jimmy’s FK isn’t as straight as everyone is claiming.
