People don’t understand what a sprain means. You can still play but you can’t go full speed, Jimmy was clearly diminished after the Knicks series. Athleticism is a HUGE part of his game, hurting that really hurt him.

Facts also it's hard when you don't have another star player tou know you can rely on.

I agree, same thing happened with Steph in 2016. Sprained his MCL in round 1 and wasn't the same. He still had big games after a bit of rest, but eventually the fatigue catches up to you. End up underperforming in the finals
@xiangfeikong9973 Жыл бұрын
i cann't agree more with u. Jimmy was fouled by Harter hardly, if that did not happen, he may still has amazing performacne against Dever, sigh!

And yet he never used it as an excuse when they loss in the Finals.

He will never make excuses and he truly is a dominant player; but he clearly wasn’t healthy in the CF & Finals. Look at the difference in speed bursts; the efficiency on his patent side step middy; things don’t just drop off like that. That high ankle sprain hindered him and the fact that he still had 25-30 point games is insane.

This guy Butler has been biding his time since leaving Chicago. Hes been preparing and holding on to some chip on his shoulder.. and it is amazing to see him get it off his chest now.. He is a force of nature!

And people think that MJ wouldn't dominate in todays er with only a midrange and a few threes. Butler is giving us a glimpse of what prime MJ would do with all the spacing .

Butler can’t even average over 23 PPG for a full season. You don’t wanna use him as a measuring stick for how MJ would do LMAO

@@heroinvrxther5826 yeah but 2023 bucks series Jimmy is the closest we will see a prime MJ in todays era. Kobe still played when defenses was still a bit more physical than today

@@heroinvrxther5826 that's kind of the point...if Jimmy Butler can have these kinds of runs in the playoffs then imagine how crazy MJ's performances possibly could have been if he was in this era of ball. And also he averaged 24 ppg w the Bulls for a season lol

@@cooperhayes1194 Using Jimmy Butler who’s never been an elite or top scorer as a measuring stick for how Jordan’s game would translate is not making the point you think it is. And no, he didn’t.
