Dude Julius came in the series hurt and he was shook. It was evident he mentally wasn’t ready for the playoffs his first time while being tripled and it rolled over this first round. If you watched him before he got hurt, he’s over that shookness I believe. His body language indicated that. He was on the attack and not settling for threes. 1:44:30 AD was relative to Jimmy Butler regarding scoring in the 2020 finals. Jimmy Butler was passing and playmaking at a higher level so offensively he gets the edge in that series. But defensively and regarding grabbing boards AD clears. The defensive gap is bigger than the offensive gap between the two. AD was more efficient as well. And Low brushing aside an all-time great defense in golden state getting abused by AD is nasty. Man essentially said AD was only getting off because they were small. Yet Jokic in 2022 was struggling to score on "small" Draymond green, the guy AD was abusing.

I find the dichotomy between Giannis and Ben Simmons to be so interesting. They're basically the same player, with two huge separators... effort and confidence. They're both offensively challenged in similar ways, but one guy is 2X MVP and the other guy is probably out of the league soon (if not already). Context on the Boston series last year jimmy butler had one bad game that whole playoffs before getting injured against Boston. He was consistently good the entire playoffs before that except for after scoring 36 against atl he missed game 5 bc of a knee injury and then the very next game against philly he was like 5-16 15 pts and really didn’t turn it back on until after 2 games much like the Boston series he gets injured missed half a game and then struggles likely due to said injury then after 2 games is healed enough to turn it back on. Not to mention the Celtics locked kd down that same postseason

His team won a game without him. He had a triple double in the same game that Jimmy dropped 56. They could have tied that series up. They had a chance to win and if the Bucks won no one would be talking about his back. He made some poor defenses coverages in clutch time of game 4 as well. It is not like it was a clear shut out. That series was very competitive. He could have played better help defense. You act like he was Larry Bird with back issues. This was the biggest upset in NBA history. Because of the history of the 2 teams , everyone who watches bball knew miami always gave the bucks trouble. They have giannis number. But not only that giannis losing made people/nba world realize that despite being as good as he is , he still has some of the same issues that plauged him when he got taken out by them years ago. In 2021 Curry didn’t overcome the lack of offense on the Warriors. They didn’t make the playoffs. He was successful as a scoring champion but the team wasn’t. In 2022 he had 3 guys that averaged in the double figures… Wiggins, Klay and Poole. In order to overcome a lack of offense you need to carry the team to the playoffs. Ex. Lebron and some of those Cavs teams that didn’t have another all star.

Jrue can't guard Jimmy, there is a considerable height difference and Jimmy plays a lot in the mid post, in the middle range, with his back to the basket, cuts, etc. Jimmy is not a player who uses a lot of dribbles and exposes the ball making it difficult for Jrue to make it difficult for him. Again, Jrue is an excellent perimeter marker, but his specialty (for me) is him annoying guards by getting into his space and beating them when they want to get to their Sweetspots, his defensive value drops when he has to guard big forwards like Lebron, Jimmy, Kawhi, etc. Middleton can't mark it either, Giannis is the one who should have taken that job or doubled him all the time. It's more bucks defeat than miami win
