I don’t want Jimmy gone. He’s the best thing that has happened to Miami since LeBron. He took a bottom feeder roster to the Finals twice. And we can’t even repay the man with one 25+ ppg scorer and a true center to protect the paint. With that said it’s the jersey not the player. I really want to see Jimmy retire in a Heat jersey but if he can’t I hope we get the most for him!

That’s statement needs context. Pre Jimmy was post LeBron. LeBron left Mia in a bad state (part of Riley’s beef with him). We gave up 2 1st to get two extra years on his contract in that sign and trade. LeBron opted out and never played those two years. Not to mention wasting picks on players he wanted in the draft that didn’t pan out. Then Riley made the most emotional decision in his career, in response to wanting to compete with LeBron, by giving average players big money, i.e Whiteside. So our pre Jimmy/post LeBron years could have been better if we didn’t tie our team down with huge contracts we weren’t able to trade. Instead went with the down years which could’ve gotten us players like Ingram, Tatum, Brown, Fox, Zion, Morant ect…
