*@samir* I'm not trying to diminish Butler at all, he's a deserving future HOFer as his career currently stands, but is it really that rare for a star to be a two way player? Being a good to great defender is a big part of what makes a lot of stars. Butler, Giannis, Embiid, Tatum, CP3, Jrue, LaMelo, Siakam and VanVleet are all two way stars. Then of course Kawhi, Paul George, AD and LeBron when healthy are all two way stars.

@@mintruth In his original comment he said "one of the rare two-way stars in the game" and "star" can mean all-star caliber player. He didn't originally say superstar two way player or elite two way player or else I would agree with you about it being very rare for a player to be elite on both ends if that's how he meant it. But if you put it into the context that there aren't a ton of superstars/elite players in the league (I would say the top 15 to 20 players can be considered "superstars"/"elite players"), then the percentage of superstars/elite players who are elite on both ends is a very significant percentage and isn't very rare in that context, like about half of the superstars/elite players are elite on both ends. Last time LeBron was healthy for the full season in 2019-20 he played great defense and even over the past 2yrs when he has been healthy he has played very good defense. LeBron only had a 2 to 3 regular season stretch of playing somewhat inconsistent defense when healthy from about 2016-17 through 2018-19 at the most and even in those seasons he played great consistent defense come playoff time as usual. LeBron was definitely elite on both ends last time he was healthy for a full season in 2019-20 and has at least been close to elite on both ends when he has been healthy over the past 2 seasons.
