The Bucks might have a Giannis problem, as he was limited to 12 shots on a combination of good defense by the Heat, and Milwaukee's offense itself. Can Mike Budenholzer adjust for Game 2? Coach Nick breaks it down.

Jimmy's stat line is impressive, but his impact is even more impressive. There's a clear difference between someone who compiles stats, and someone who gets stats through impacting the game. When you watch Jimmy play, it's not his stats that stand out, it's his impact.

@@jayvon221 Agreed. I also find it hard to rank him due to the fact you can't just look at the stats, but I know for sure I'd rather have Jimmy than a guy like Paul George, or Westbrook, or Trae Young, or any of the guys you mentioned. If Embiid wasn't such a goofball, if he was more of a professional like Tim Duncan or Hakeem Olajuwon, he could be the best player in the NBA, but it seems like he just doesn't have that at his core.

The big difference is that Heat can win even if Butler has just 12 pts. It's rare to see Jimmy get 30 pts this season. While the Bucks ofcourse struggles when Giannis don't have big numbers they rely most on Giannis. Bucks are in big trouble. Seriously! This is Middleton's best performance in the playoffs too yet they still lose. Big trouble.

The heat have been on my radar ever since I saw Dion Waiters have a few moments after his trade from the thunder. Goran Dragic is the most slept on point guard in the league. The heat youth has been shining more and more every year. Im seeing Duncan Robinson and Tyler Herro as a killer shooting combination. Eric spoelstra is a championship level coach and it shows with how well The heat rebuild has been after Lebron,wade and Bosh left. Jimmy G Buckets is the All Star to help build a young hungry core into a dark horse for the title. One thing I'm not hearing about is the heat dealing with any injuries to any key players at this time which is good for a playoff run.

Javier Landaverde you’re talking about Pat Riley. He’s a wizard with money. For example, the plan is to give Dragic a bloated contract on the front end so maybe $15 million or whatever then maybe 5 million in 21 instead if a 10 million a year contract for 3 years. Other players leaving include Olynyk, Leonard, Crowder and Iggy, but players like that are more easy to replace. 3 point shooting centers? 3 and 3 guys? The Heat have the 20th pick in the draft. Even if they let ALL those guys walk (which they wont) they can be replaced by undrafted gems or the draft.

Been saying it, giannis is great but hella overrated. Way too easy to stop when teams have time to focus on the matchup and set up defensive strats. Right now he just isnt a first ballhandling option on championship offense. You just cant do it with no consistant shot and avrage vision at best. Plus so far he really seems to be lacking the killer mentality in big moments. I mean, can you think of a "signiture moment" of his? (I dont mean a meaningless freakish dunk in regular season)

I agree. However, i think if they were to acquire a perimeter threat like Beal/Lavine it wouldn’t put so much focus on Giannis. Middleton just isn’t that dude from what we’ve seen, but like you said, Giannis is yet to have one of his own vintage game closing runs. He might follow the same path as AD.

Well no player is perfect and it seems a bit too harsh to say Giannis plays like a backup centre. Try setting up that 3-men wall against Lebron / Kawhi and see if they will take the tough mid-range shot, or just pass it to a great shooter. The latter is clearly a smarter choice and in Giannis's case, the only choice. Curry is a great shooter, but he can't do much with box-and-one either. I didn't watch this game, but with the clips included, it is fair to say that Bucks don't really have a point guard in the game. Isn't this more of the coach's responsibility, or simply due to Bledsoe's absence? Anyway, good video as always. Keep it up, coach!

This is a easy fix for the bucks. - too many 3’s - no player on the heat can stop brook lopez in the post. - Wesley Matthews should have been guarding butler in the 4th. Why was connington even in the game? -butler ate up Middleton. Never give them that matchup. You have to win more than get giannis 30- if the bucks just make their free throws this is a different game.
@s_ame1135
@s_ame1135 3 жыл бұрын
- Putting Lopez in the post means Giannis won't have the driving lane and we all know he can't shoot those jumpers. Plus, the Heat is giving Lopez the 3s and he's hitting them anyway so what's the point? - Put Wesley or the best defender to Butler, and he'll have the most assist in the game. He'll just pass it to the shooters or Bam. It's either Jimmy or the shooters and the coach made his call. - Easy for you to say that Giannis should've just score 30pts. Bam, Iggy, and Butler locked him up that's why. - Your last point is just cherry-picking. If Duncan and Herro made their 3s it would also be a totally different game.
