The man had compassion for the Palestinians living in an open air prison long before Oct. 7th. Wrote about it lots. Talked about it lots. (Research it) He took heat and people - Americans turned their back; he tired back then!!! *His greatest work and hope was the Middle East - he’s been in hospice this past year / maybe a good thing. 💔 “ Thank you Mr Carter for truly caring about ALL PEOPLE; you were never meant to be a politician…but you were the best negotiator - Ambassador of Peace - may your example live on for generations to come. A total treasure of a human being. 🙏

President Carter’s legacy , IMO, I’m 70, goes far beyond his Presidency. He and his wife’s dedication to helping the less fortunate is at the forefront in my mind. That involved decades of physical labor from both he and his wife. They didn’t have to do any of that. But I guess they simply felt a higher calling to help people. They were both very good human beings!

Jimmy Carters legacy will be his belief in humanity, friendship across the world bringing people who believe that if you know the person, the culture and learn to be friends peace can happen, negotiated some the most difficult hostages releases and seldom took the credit he deserved, habitat for humanity his give back to so many and his strong love for family and faith that never faultier. a strong belief in morals intregrity that America needs more than ever. I never got to meet President Carter yet i’ve met hostages that were freed and i traveled with Friendship Force learning to be friends and know we are more alike than different. May he RIP. ❤

RIP jimmy Carter. He governed over a bad economy which......is common for democrats. Maybe he is the reason that Iran released the hostages.... maybe not. To hard to tell for a fella like me. He DEFINITELY gave away the Panama canal. Pretty sure this won't help America long term. Let the last statement not take away from the good He was trying to do. I agree with his goals. I disagree with his methods. One last thing. The man ABSOLUTELY continued to be a good man even when his party wasn't in power and even when there was nothing to gain from doing so. I'm a Republican but I have to give credit to someone who tried constantly to achieve the right thing even if they were on the left side

Also, Carter actually was the one to negotiate the release of the hostages in Iran not Reagan - Reagan got the credit for it because it happened just after Carter stepped down but Carter made it happen.
