That’s what it was until they put they managed to put their foot on our neck and have this ass hole nan Boyer agree for to spend over 100 years paying the French for reparations money for the fact that we stop slavery and our nightmare begin they never stop planning the next way to stop us from becoming what we were free to do. No matter how the the Europeans are fighting with each other one thing they always agree on is not to let the Haitian rise.

Toussaint is a better general than Bonaparte himself. Toussaint helped rid the island of slavery, while Bonarparte sought to perpetrate it. Toussaint's soul will be redeemed by Yahweh, while Bonaparte will burn in hell.
@guillaumefrancois39425 жыл бұрын
@76 Jumbo, Napoleon was a legend because white historians made him out to be, just as much they depicted general Dessalines as a bad guy. In reality, Napoleon was a war mongol, a coveteous individual, who enslaved black people to satisfy his greed.
@justinpachi37075 жыл бұрын
That’s not how military achievement and merit are ranked. Napoleon’s battlefield victories and innovations to military doctrine make him one of the greatest military leaders of all time. Plus Bonaparte was no different than any of his contemporaries in how he conducted his wars of conquests.

@France, the Haitian revolution goes beyond the impact that it may have played or not played in the history of France. It was an important and decisive moment in the history of humanity for black people. The Haitian revolution is the second most beautiful movement right after the liberation of the black hebrews in Egypt centuries before. We care less how the Haitian revolution is viewed in France. What matters to us is that our ancestors valiantly and bloodily won their freedon agaisnt an evil, racist army of Napoleon Bonaparte--something that no other black people have even dared to try. That's what it's all about. We succeeded where Africa has miserably failed: stand up against colonialism, tyranny, slavery, and racism. Vive la revolution Dessaliniene!
@guillaumefrancois39425 жыл бұрын
@France, well, so be it. The white man is coward. Punishing Haiti for standing up for its rights is shockingly wrong. At the end of the day, Haiti goes down in history as the first and only black people to gain their independence through blood and sweat and that is remarkable. The white man will not be on top for ever. At one point, Haiti will be rescued by Yahweh--just like He came to the rescue of the black Hebrews in Egypt. You and I may not live to see it, but at some point, Yahweh will hear the cries and the injustices done to Haiti simply for saying no to slavery and racism. Time will tell, my friend.

What exactly did Toussaint contribute to the liberation of Haiti? Mackandal, Boukman, and Dessalines all played a more significant role in winning their freedom. If Toussaint had stayed in charge they would've failed in winning. Lets not forget that he killed Moïse, his nephew, for fighting against the colonizers. He sympathized with the French more than his own people. White people tell us we should honor him so we hail him as the hero. I salute those that put Black 1st.
@j-xl62586 жыл бұрын
There are a lot of people who nake those claims, but as Haitian who truly knows his history, Toussaint was a conspirator. There is a secret society in Haiti known as societé mackanda along with Biassou, Capois la mort and a few others,and he was a part of it. Him joining the french was simply a ruse against the french. He was a double agent. Dessalines even told the french that he would avenge Toussaint for what they did to him. Dont let these white historians fool you.

@@j-xl6258 why did he kill his nephew?

@@mrrdw77 Moise L'ouverture was actually his adopted nephew. His treason was crushed by Toussaint, Dessalines and Christophes forces. Moise basically wanted to lead his own campaign. It was actually someone in Dessalines camp who suggested he be executed. Moise L'ouverture also dated Desalines god-daughter.

@@j-xl6258 Toussaint was never the same after he executed Moise. Anyhow the who said Toussaint didn't do anything for the revolution only watches lectures and documentaries and doesn't read. He was essential. Their would be no Dessalines or Christophe as we know them without Toussaint's military genius leading the way.

@@chadtep7571 Exactly! Toussaint was the opening, as his last nsme translated from french means. He was the organizer, financier, planner and the original General that made it all happen.
