I'm glad Jimmy Johnson got the studio back and was a co-owner before he passed away... RIP Sir, you are missed, loved & will be remembered forever through your music legacy

I can’t imagine that building not being there! It’s a landmark and a sign of home. So happy we can get the shirts again. Love The Swampers and Sweet Home Alabama. I’m so proud to be a member of this community and know my obsession with music comes from our beautiful Singing River!

Was at the studio this past Sept. from Canada. David drove up in his vintage sports car and we felt that much closer to the history. Didn't meet him but such a charge to see him after being informed of the Swampers accomplishments. This studio was the BEST part of our entire trip!

No mention of Rick Hall ?

They had split with Rick Hall when they bought this studio ... Columbia Records wanted Rick Hall to get his session musicians to sign an exclusive agreement with him/them ... but they thought the money wasn't good enough to sign an exclusive deal so they went their separate ways ...
