It's fine as a kid, but as an adult you may get taken advantage of if you constantly forgive people for wrongs. But I will say as well as forgiving she immediately went to solution mode which was interesting, many people skip that step and go straight to resentment mode lol. That's a trait that'll prob serve her well.

Every child is different and will react differently, and these kids had every reason to be upset, especially if they loved trick-or-treating and getting a lot of candy. But I like the way the little girl handle it, she knew that mom made a mistake and would make things right, which is the kind of trust we should instill in all our children.

@nobelcreature6201 People are different, some nicer than others. Besides, the older sister didn't behave badly at all, just not 'as' forgiving as the other one. Just because the other one was even nicer, doesn't mean the other one wasn't well behaved also; there are different levels of well behaved. If two people are 7ft tall and the other 7.5 ft tall, both people are still tall. Children don't act like that, unless they have been raised well, and a teacher isn't going to change that.

The bigger one has started growing as a separate individual, and knows it is wrong to take other people's stuff. So she is not comfortable with the situation. She is not less kind or less forgiving. She has just grown a little more than the little one.
