I'd argue that Jacob/Mescal/Butler are of equal fame. Elvis wasn't that widespread of a hit for Butler to be considered A-List. Even in Dune he's completely unrecognizable in a forgettable role, I don't think anyone in five years will associate Butler with Dune. Elordi and Mescal have much more critical acclaim as indie darlings. Mescal especially has not reached A-List level, despite culturally having a huge impact (dating Phoebe Bridgers will do that). Normal People/Aftersun and Priscilla/Saltburn are great but aren't really near anything that would catapult someone to being A-List. Foe alongside Ronan could've been it for Mescal but it was so poorly written that it didn't even get a theatrical release. Jeremy Allen-White is arguably more A-List than all of them, the Bear is massive and winning awards critically, and Iron Claw was the biggest stump of Oscar season. Anyway, all that to say I'm curious who will come out of this group as a lasting figure in ten years time. @@darkunicorn1203
