They were well-behaved, but that doesn’t mean that being angry or upset is ill-behaved, they are still learning to self-regulate and need to be consistently taught how to cope with strong feelings. Young children have a smaller perspective on things, and what we think is minuscule is big to them. And they won’t always react in the best manner, they are children, after all. All children are different and have unique strengths and weaknesses, just like us adults. CJ is definitely gifted with strong communication skills, and that helped him cope with his negative feelings more. And I’m sure Jake follows his example.
