ABC aired one of the greatest Bachelor episodes of all-time tonight as Colton went visited the infamous fantasy suite. His second date was with Cassie and took a turn when her father arrived in Portugal to surprise her and convince her to go home. When she told Colton, he said that she was the only one he wanted to be with, he loves her, and he said 'I'm picking you.' The producers clearly weren't pleased about this.

I love how people are whining about Cassie not being sure about being ready for marriage to Colton. You can want to get married and still not be ready to marry a person if you aren’t 100% they’re the one. She’s clearly the only one looking past the fantasy world that this show creates. Love and marriage aren’t traveling to all these miraculous places and doing extravagant things all the time. Real life is freaking sitting on the couch in your pajamas, no makeup, and watching a movie with your spouse at the end of the day. It’s easy to think you’re in love with someone when you’re in this whirlwind world of The Bachelor. The girl is being true to herself, so cut her some slack. Not to mention, she’s been on like maybe three one on one dates with him, all while he’s dating other women. You can’t really fall in love with someone and be ready to marry them at the very end of all that. It’s pathetic to think that’s even realistic. Of course it might happen for some, but not all (just look at all the failed relationships from this show). Additionally, you can’t really expect the guy to go settle for a woman he doesn’t actually love because she’s an easy yes on the marriage proposal. Again, not how love and marriage work.

I just find it surprising because everyone else I know who “waited” for marriage other then my sister just married whoever they were dating at 21. 😕 For context: I was raised Catholic, started questioning some teachings at 13, at the same time was sent to no less than 3 different vacation bible schools completely devoted to saving yourself for marriage where I was taught more questionable bs, annnd completely abandoned religion by 21.
