Jimmy talks about being in the middle of the national health care debate by addressing more criticism from Senator Bill Cassidy and Fox News, sharing his personal experience about his emotional weekend meeting hundreds of people who have benefitted from the ACA, and praising Senators John McCain and Susan Collins for saying no to the Graham-Cassidy bill, hopefully killing it once and for all.

I know a lot of people are probably getting tired of hearing Jimmy go on about this, but I actually love watching him speak out for what's right. It's refreshing to see, especially since he didn't need to get involved, he's doing it out of the goodness of his heart.

We are getting tired.He too hasn't read the bill,he isn't advocating for a particular solution so I have no idea why he is even involved in the debate.

DunHiLa Craftera I’m pretty sure he’s read the bill, which is only about three pages in a PDF file at this point and they’re still working on it. I won’t get tired of watching him because I know in his heart he believes what he is doing is right and he has probably read the bill more thoroughly than most of the Republican senators who are voting yes just out of intimidation.

DunHiLa Craftera no You are getting tired. He said in earlier taping that he spent the whole weekend studying the bill. This bill is worse than the first two. Believe him when he says This bill is bad for you, me, everyone but the billionaires. Are you a billionaire?

Beyond what DunHila Craftera said. Jimmy's show is not a political show. I think Jimmy is entertaining. but only so far as he is acting like an entertainer. When he begins to talk politics I loose interest. If I wanted to hear politics I would listen to a political show not this. It is his show and he can do what he likes but the rating speak for themselves.

Saying that he read the bill means nothing.It doesn't mean he understands it too.Also the main problem is he isn't proposing a fix to the situation.He is just complaining which helps zero people.I am all for him if he could come up with a better healthcare system but he can't.

Chudy Ilozue No it doesn't. There was never any assurance that when Kimmel posts this video-the healthcare bill would die. In fact most republicans who mentioned Kimmel said he is a simpleton and didn't care about his opinion. People that would have voted NO on this bill were the same people who voted NO on the last one. Kimmel didn't change anyone's mind. MCCain is just real proof of why we need term limits and he also proved he isn't a republican.

Wars have actually made the USA what it is today.Policing the world has done wonders for the USA.It is the sad truth but the truth nonetheless.There will always be money for war because we have to fight over natural resources and territory.That is how the world works.No one is touching America right now because of it's vast nuclear arsenal.Imagine you didn't have that and money wasn't spent on creating nuclear warheads.Russia would most likely take over and then your country of the brave and the free will be the country of the imprisoned and oppressed.

"Policing the world has done wonders for the USA" False. In fact, it's part of the reason we're in the quagmire globally that we find ourselves in. We get by on might, not by being world police. "No one is touching America right now because of it's vast nuclear arsenal" That goes for every other nation with nuclear weapons, of which there are many. It's called mutually-assured destruction, and it's the precise reason North Korea will not give up their nuclear weaponry.

Many countries want to keep to themselves. T.T And by fighting for natural resources you mean stealing? We should work more on science to not depend on other countries. Either way resources won't last forever. Don't get me wrong I am grateful for everybody that has fought in our armed forces. But really did we need to go into Iraq? Did we need to go into the vietnam war? So many of our wars were not needed.

My parents haven't had healthcare for a LONG time until Obamacare. Since they got on that my mother was able to find out she has diabetes and COPD and just two weeks ago my dad was diagnosed with Lung cancer. They woudn't/won't get the proper treatment w/o health insurance. Yes i think Obamacare needs to be worked on but so far it's been a lifesaver for my parents.

Punky Brat Obamacare is not a disaster but it's not perfect, it needs a few tweaks, that's all.
@AlienRmix
@AlienRmix 6 жыл бұрын
The sad truth is Obamacare might have worked for you but out there in the ether there are individuals who are paying for healthcare and it is written on a piece of paper that they have it but hospitals aren't accepting it and those same people can't do anything.What I am trying to tell you is that you should consider how OCare has worked for other individuals in the USA.For some of them it's crippling,they can't afford to pay it,they can't use it and it's killing them slowly.Obamacare can't be fixed it was built upon the idea that healthy people(young individuals) would pay for older and sicker people but then the penalty for not getting healthcare turned out to be cheaper than the actual healthcare and people chose the latter.Fixing something that is structurally flawed is not possible.OCare also allows for a lot of improper money spending.Doctors are writing prescriptions like crazy that no one actually needs and it is costing the country millions of dollars.Ocare doesn't have a single flaw you can work on and fix,it has a multitude of issues. If fixing Obamacare was possible,Democrats would have done it in the last eight years under Barack Obama but they couldn't.All they could do is keep supporting the bill and investing money into it and hoped it wouldn't crash horribly during the last presidency but insurance companies started bailing out,premiums went up,deductibles went up. Fixing healthcare at this very moment is very complicated,the new bill has to cut spending.It can't continue to allow massive funds of money just disappearing.Trump is in a very bad position as president right now because he has to tell you that the new bill won't cover many people but that is because the USA is in massive debt and they keep raising the debt ceiling which is wrong. You can't keep raising the debt ceiling forever.That will lead to a crash in the economy which will result badly for a lot of countries not just the USA.
@unnamedny
@unnamedny 6 жыл бұрын
DunHiLa Craftera What does Obamacare has to do with pewho do not qualify under it. Insurances are given tons of money from government, but they say it's not enough so they raise prices on everyone. This is not laws fault it's insurances who think they deserve millions of dollars more and more. Do research on how much surgeries and drugs cost before mark up's. You'd be surprised.

I believe that God gave you your talent and a platform to express that talent so that you cannot only bring joy to others, but make a difference in the lives of others as well. You have done both more effectively than many people can ever say they would have in your situation in their entire lifetime. I hope you feel good about what you have done and don’t doubt that it was the right thing for one second. You have more character in your pinky finger than our president has in his entire body.
