Don't laugh okay, but this is what it was like coming out to my close friend that I was gay. I was scared he wouldn't want to be my friend anymore if he knew because some guys are like that, but when I told him he said he always knew and he was just waiting for me to finally tell him. Just like how Jimmy responded, my friend also was just waiting for me to become comfortable and thought it was a sensitive subject for me so he never brought it up. I actually like it better this way knowing he actually knew all this time cause that means he already accepted me as a friend regardless of whether I was straight or not.

@@lastchance9005even then, a lot of the time coming out is still a scary process. You could still get ostracized by family, lose friends, gain new enemies on the street. I will admit, it’s definitely easier to come out in those countries over others, but it still has its challenges

I'm surprised that Jimmy knew Clark's secret already, and I am glad that he respected Clark enough to not force him to reveal his secret before he was ready. What I am annoyed about is that Lois gets mad at Jimmy for not telling Clark's secret to her and Jimmy gets mad at Clark for presumably telling Lois the secret before Jimmy. Lois found out on her own and forced Clark to reveal it. I wish that Clark just told him that. Plus, it's still Clark's secret to tell or to keep, not Lois or Jimmy's to know. Also, Jimmy knowing Clark is Superman raises the question about why he would consider Clark a bad friend who doesn't take him seriously. Clark being Superman means that he most likely takes Jimmy's theories seriously, and Clark not making it on time could easily be because Superman was needed. I feel Jimmy should have considered that if he knew Clark's secret.

If anything, I think he got mad BECAUSE Clark is Superman, and Jimmy figured, he probably could have come if he really tried. But Clark still didn’t and didn’t even come up with a good excuse. He literally just forgot. Superman it not, Jimmy’s got every right to be bummed about being the 3rd wheel and the second priority every time.

Just because you understand the circumstances of someone doesn't mean you have to deal with it. Jimmy had the right to be upset by broken promises from a friend, just like you would end up unhappy or distant from a friend who constantly break promises in the name of work or something else. It's natural to feel that way. I was more upset about Lois saying " why didn't you tell me ?" Because , like you rightfully said, it wasn't his secret to tell. Just my opinion anyways , I respect yours.

This was pushing a little too close to Invincible territory. Bad enough that Lois was mad at Clark for not telling her he was the person she swore up and down was a liar and wanted to "expose" him, but she expected Jimmy to tell her a secret that wasn't even his secret to tell. Jimmy even gave a legitimate reason why he never confronted Clark and Lois still got on him for not telling her. Yeah I know, the thing with her mother's illness had made keeping secrets an issue with her. But her parents keeping her mother's terminal illness is not the same Clark keeping his personal, very sensitive secret to himself or Jimmy keeping Clark's secret because it's not his place to be sharing it with Lois.

Another key reason for Jimmy playing it cool the whole time: Clark and Jimmy ARE MEN. If your bro has a secret or something uncomfortable they DON'T want to talk about you don't confront them and try to drag it out of them. Chicks do that, they can't leave well enough alone and want to know ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING about every detail of your life. I've been with my girl for over five years and she got mad at me because I didn't tell her the story of how our house burned down as a kid, my mom told her. Here is a question If Jimmy knew the whole time that Clark was Superman in this series then does that mean he knows Clark is Superman in every other series there is from Superman the Animated series in the 90s to that Superman series with Terry Hatcher and Dean Kane and all the others It' is possible after all think about it Clark and Louis hardly talked to Jimmy like they did in this series they never pay attention to him in any series at all so Jimmy may know Clark Superman and every show and movie and cartoon of Superman that there is and this is the only time they reveal it.

The implication is that this Jimmy knew because he's known Clark for years and managed to pick hints up that there was something weird about him. In a lot of other versions Jimmy is just a guy Clark works with.
