I'm often shocked and saddened by the hateful comments on KZbin. Jimmy Martin is an outstanding performer. I'm sure he'd be ashamed of the comments here.

I'm 30 and listen to Jimmy Martyn daily. Hope this brings a little bit of comfort to you. I think he's a legend. If it were me, I couldn't hope for much more than that. And if I have the pleasure someday of having children and grandchildren, you better rest goddamn assured that they will listen to this stuff too.

He wears his hat like a KING. The Greatest singer in Bluegrass
@BillMcGirr6 ай бұрын
It’s no coincidence that the very hat he wears in this video… is the one in the picture on his tombstone. He bought it at Loretta Lynn’s clothing store at the time. It’s a woman’s rodeo hat.🤷♂️ Jimmy thought it would look good on stage. It did.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👍🥃

Jimmy had some good stuff. My favorites: twenty twenty vision walking around blind. I can't quit cigarettes. Ocean of diamonds. Saw him embarrass a player who could not keep time. Stopped the show and told audience to take a good look at this old boy cause he won't be back. Man!

Jimmy Martin was a major force in bluegrass music. He could have been a super star in country and bluegrass had it not been for his personality. It's a shame because his recordings are among the greatest ever made.

(When he reached down his hand for me) Once my soul was astray from the heavenly way I was wretched and vile as could be But my Saviour in love gave me peace from above When he reached down his hand for me When he reached down his hand for me when he reached way down for me I was lost and undone without my God or his son When he reached down his hand for me I was near to despair when he came to me there And he showed me that I could be free Then he lifted my feet gave me gladness complete When he reached down his hand for me When he reached down...

You are correct. The Gift of Salvation is something you must accept into your heart. The gift of forgiveness of your sins being bought and paid for by Jesus Christ. Once that gift is receieved, you will live for the Lord.
