"and I believed in Jimmy, when he told us to unite, where are they now" How sad.

Riverside. The TV show this was on was called Riverside not Riversdale.

WTF! I reckon he'd been hanging around too much with Steve Hillage. Probably had too many cups of mushroom tea.

I wonder if Mr Pursey ever went to drama school or lessons ? This is the sort of stuff they make you do on those courses and although it is artistic expression it isn't very punk !

@555Nato Trust me on this one: Mr Pursey was a sweet-natured middle-class boy who pretended to be a hooligan so to fool the ignorami. 'Buzz off' me hasn't heard since leaving school.

His father was a plumber and his mother was an usherette in a cinema. Try again.

In this performance Jimmy is dancing and miming his own song (A sort of weird and dark New Wave). The other guy DEN is only a performer of songs from other artists.

Ashamed? He's havin' the piss on those that follow blind. This is some of his best hooliganism minus Weller's self-serious approach.

@555Nato Me was merely rattling the bars of your cage, fella. 'Borstal Breakout' still sounds fantastic. Have you read the novels of Patrick Hamilton? England's original bad-boy writer. Try 'Hangover Square', or 'Slaves of Solitude', or a trilogy called 'Twenty-Thousand Streets under the Sky'. Don't read the Introductions as they ALWAYS give the story away. Jolly good luck

!!!! ....Heard about this but never seen the whole thing. I read somewhere that Pursey showed this to Mensi and asked him what he thought. Mensi told him it was shit and he must have gone mad and Pursey never spoke to him again! Pursey is a good rabble rouser, but here he obviously thought he was David Bowie.
