Alien has a female lead and its one of the best movies ever made, in my opinion, and was a huge success. It all comes down to content.

hey matt, it's been a few weeks since i've watched this video but here it goes: referring to a vagina and lactation in itself is not at all sexist. what was sexist was jimmy associating the vagina and lactation with crying and sobbing (characteristics typically attached to women). i'm not saying it's wrong, or unfunny, to make a joke based on sexism, just calling it what it is. i'll laugh at a sexist joke or a racist joke, but that doesn't mean they're not rooted in sexism/racism.

i read the book while i was in jail and it begins with her trying to figure out how to leave her hubby who couldn't be more perfect..ya know that "aw he was too nice" bullshit...then she has a relationship that the guy feels "meh" about her and she is like 7th grader obsessed with her 8th grader boyfriend who was nice for two seconds and ditched her after she put out and he doesn't wanna claim her in front of his boys...i might be wrong but the guy was younger than her ..but she is devastated by the fact that it went from them running towards each other in slow motion in a field of daisys (her words in the book) to her like sobbing on his doorstep with the "what happened to us" bullshit...and she was having to deal with feeling like a dick for dumping the dude who was giving her no reason to leave...like because she didn't want to put up with an awkward situation...like yeah she has one of those sit on a beanbag ad magazine job where she makes bank and gets sent to exotic locations to do stories and yeah i guess she loses her money for a second but after going to 3 different awesome places with people waiting for her to coddle and stroke her hair and coo as she cries ...like the bride in a wedding she is at has rto take a knee and comfort her cause she sees her run out of the reception all quiver lipped..likewhat a dickhead chick for being happy during her wedding when a super selfcentered lady whos got WOUNDS man...salty wounds...salty from her tear.. i digressanywho i read the book in jail and found it a wee bit hard to relate...maybe when i finish saving up for the passages resort/rehab i will finally discover sobrety and make bank writing about it...
