If you look into it, at one point Swaggart said God showed him something that He didn't even show Paul. Essentially Swaggart was saying that God hid something from Christians for 2000 years until Swaggart came along. Jesus didn't hide anything when He walked the earth. He said so after His arrest. Some early Christians claimed to have a hidden knowledge, they were called gnostics, and Gnosticism is a heresy.
