Great to see this tribute was handled so sensitively by the two presenters who realised how much of a friend Jimmy Tarbuck was to Michael Parkinson and how he might buckle under the weight of responsibility of paying tribute to his friend. Well done all…Sincerest Condolences to Michael’s family and friends.

I feel lucky to have grown up as a child through the 70/80's, I loved Parky even at a young age. TV today is just not the same. In Australia its all reality TV, utter garbage. I don't think we will ever see another Parky in this day and age, and I'm not a fan of the GOAT label, but he was the GOAT in his industry. RIP Sir Michael Parkinson.

Why all this talk about Michael Parkinson? You mustn't overdo these things, possums. Many of these people, these so called stars that Michael had on his show were non-entities. Some were real stars. They were friends of mine who needed an appearance on a show. So I mentioned them to Michael, working behind the scenes, putting shows together for him using my connections, taking time out of my busy schedule. I like to help people. It's just the kind of person I am. Every time I was on the show I got exciting reviews, being a megastar. The audiences loved me. Michael was lucky enough to be my guest several times over the years. He told me I was his favourite, my female urges and juices coming out in great gusts. I shared my experiences, always in the strictest confidence. I was his most popular guest. Sadly, all things must end. Thank you for reading me in your homes viewers! Dame E. Everage
