The first time I heard this tune was a couple of days after I did exactly that. Soon to be ex moved out left me her car to sell and send her the money. Ya right. Sold it and bought me a killer strat. Couple days later my brother brings over Jimmy’s new album with this tune on it. What a giggle

Seen this guy numerous times, big party in Ottumwa Hotel room one glorious nite. Best ever was in the Ozarks at Bayou Bills when he played that guitar on the wooden hand rail! TOO much!

Best song ever written. Played bass in a blues trio outside Nashvile and the GP's name was Victor Ringpfiel who'd been with Delbert McCinton for ten years. He introduced me to this song. We learned it and every time we played it the crowd went crazy. Sometimes we'd have tobplay it twice in a row. lol

This song is for anyone who has been living with someone who just doesn't understand their goodtime spirit. However, if you drink and party too much, this pretty much what you can expect sooner or later.

The guitar solo is epic. Perfect fusion of blues and rock guitar. And his tone in incredible. Think he uses Joe Barden pickups....

+beavis408 I had dinner with him before a show in Kalispell Mt, we said hi and he invited us to sit and have chinese food with him, we all love pickups and asked what he used, he told us that he uses's Bardon's and that Bardon lived across the lake from him and he would take a boat over too see him and grab a new set when they were ready, what a funny guy.....

Says he was influenced at an early age when he saw Jimi Hendrix perform. Well, he certainly learned well! I had the pleasure of seeing Jimmy Thackery play at Vonn Jazz in Columbus in "Sean Carey's 'Blues for a Cure'" fundraiser. Outstanding performance, I never knew anyone could play a Stratocaster like that. He stuck around after the show for chit-chat, photos, and autographs...I suggested he should consider playing at one of Eric Clapton's Crossroads events...
