Saw Jimmy Van M open for Sasha & Digweed for their Delta Heavy Tour in New Orleans, Louisiana. I've NEVER witnessed a better warm up set in my life. He went from breaks to progressive house to downtempo. He kept the energy slow paced but steadily rose it. I was blown away on how long he mixed some of the tracks... like two to three minutes. This was on vinyl players. Personally, I find warm up sets to be the most difficult to mix. What Mr. Malleghem did was truly one of the best artistic forms of DJing.

The greatest warm-up DJ in the history of electronic music. Depth, substance, intelligence, sophistication and mastery. At a gig in The Hague he opened for Digweed, in true warm-up fashion, so slow and with controlled energy, and played so well that Digweed, who played much harder and faster, was underwhelming. Also, not just the opening DJ, but also the mastermind behind the Delta Heavy Tour, that opened up mainland USA to electronic music. An icon and a legend that deserves all the praise. Bravo, Jimmy.
