If you listen to the words closely it sounds to me like she is singing about being abused and getting revenge by not waking her father during a tornado while she went to the safety of the cellar. Although I could be wrong.

This is one of Carrie's videos loosely based on a "movie theme"...Blown Away = Wizard of OZ (black & white at the beginning, tornado, coming of it into color, yellow road at the end, etc. Other Carrie song/video based on movie = Two Black Cadillacs = "Horror" movie Christine = car that kills then repairs itself, etc
