What I love about RBR is how lively the cars feel, somehow just more intuitive and more connected to the road than Dirt Rally or even EA WRC, and you can actually spin on throttle, you can't just floor it and get out of trouble automatically. Also how the hell do the stages feel more authentic than in modern games despite the lack of graphical detail and being made by independent modders for free... Absolutely mental that a now 20 year old game is still the gold standard for the rally genre.

you're exaclty describing my experience in DR2 ahahah, at first it was really hard because I had no clue about how to drive, abou the corners etc... Then I started to finish some stages and I'm actually at the step where I can perform, like I'm usually in top 1000/500 in stages and I must have to admit, DR2 is a very good sim and game and I realy love rally, so being able to make it in the World Top 500 is something very cool and it was worth the pain
@gustavogoesgomes18632 жыл бұрын
what kills me most in this game are the cursed pace notes. you literally have to learn what each codriver understands as "medium right", "flat left" and so on and even after you do, you will be caught off guard by something infuriating, like a flat left followed by a hairpin right, as if you could go flat out and then brake on time... not even a caution, anything. sometimes it feels like the codriver is actually just trying to kill you both lol
@Puhdull2 жыл бұрын
That's because the pace notes are made by the map creator and in some cases are "lazily" done to influence you to edit and make you own.

ppl don't like rbrpro for very VERY good reason, but i think the pacenote plugin they have is so far ahead it's crazy as it's so easy to edit notes and make your own notes and voice pack (i use my own voice, if you check my channel.) if RSF had something like it, that would be a total godsend; especially because i use angular pacenotes vs 1-6/medium easy/etc. which is a very limiting factor for playing RSF, especially when i jus do time trials offline.

Sometimes abs and particularly on paved road courses. Im not the best and i know how sometimes just getting into it youve gotta go slow forst before you go fast. Then when im ready get my subaru that loves to be driven with the phrase in mind, when in doubt flat out. Im sure it fits other cars pretty well too, but just my experience if you go slow then you have to go really slow. Feels like the car is always trying to finish the last turn you made. Its like youre constantly overcorrecting but thats just the surfaces youre driving on making you lose traction.
