Hiding isn't too much of a problem (until the hunter gets the favor and poof your disguise is gone and that light telegraphs your location) It's hunting I have problems with. But my new strategy is to go AFK and wait for the rebels to come to me. I've found that they can't resist checking out what is going on and you can get at least one if not all at the last second. It's funny just standing there while chairs and boxes dance and jump around you trying to goat you into moving.

a little something i found out the hard way; if you're not going to be a prop, you should probably stick to characters who have a darker color scheme, like xinyan or zhongli. maps like winery confrontation (day), drifters in the terrace depths (day), and the pearl of sango, though, you should have a character with a lighter color scheme, like ganyu or kokomi.

Alternatively I went for Collei as a rebel in a Sumeru map, camouflaging myself in the bushes with her cabbagehead color scheme and was the last one alive while never turning myself into a prop (even stole a favor in the process) unfortunately my phone died because it couldn't handle my gamer skillz

My faint presence rebel strategy at 5am because I don't touch grass Dawn winery: rooftop if inexperienced hunter, Candace sitting on bench Liyue abandoned rocky map thing: between the rock wall and the broken pillar, characters on the wall near leaves Liyue village: trees and roofs Liyue yellowish village: trees and roofs, under stairs Konda village: Sara/Candace on top of flying flag pillars, sayu under the houses Sangonomiya: kokomi+roof/entrance Sumeru: hide on top of the green roof, move accordingly to the hunters' angle so they can't see you Sumeru village: NPC characters+upper part of the map, under bridge If hunter sees you don't use invisibility immediately, while they chase you trick them into a direction and make a sharp turn back with invisibility Hunter tips: wet status=water bodies

Yeah, I've played watasumi once as a rebel and my team mates were easily caught because the hunter realized they were wet. meanwhile I found a little nook at the edge of the map the hunter kept walking past not thinking someone could fit there.

I had a really good spot in the dawn winery map, if you turn into a lamp and climb onto the balcony, if you keep climbing you can head to a spot that has light and vines covering it, it’s a small window that makes you nearly invisible at first glance, i didn’t even get caught once.

On Dawn Winery, there is a spot where you can hide on a tree. The only part of the tree that's in the zone: the branch. (and yes the leaves will cover you) When you spawn: Go east and hug the wall until you find the tree next to some buildings. Takes some practice to get up there :) I was really lucky to find it as I was scouring for No Disguise locations.

I usually use the character where there outfit matches the location, like kokomi and the watatsumi island she blends in very well so maybe it will be harder to find?

Just yesterday I was with a Miko (I was Childe) and we both had the same hiding spot which is the stone path which we hid in the whole of to blend in and it was hilarious. The favour came down right in front of us so I quickly went to grab it even though the Hunter was there too but looking the opposite way. It was an amazing experience lmao

my rebel strategy is rlly just hide in any tree, the leaves cover u even if u dont have a disguise on and a lot of hunters don't usually think to check trees. In city of yore concealed, I like to hide on top of the arch thats on the upper level. for some reason hunters don't check there/see you? I've won on that thing many times without even using a disguise. For drifters of the terrace depths, i hide behind the house that you spawn right next to! Hunters rarely ever check there, and if they do happen to you can also just get onto the cliff and they won't see you!

Kinda sad that they didn't put up the Ritou map. Back then my fav place to hide was on top of the giant Maple tree using either Yoimiya or Kazuha then just afk, helped a lot for getting points for not turning into an object & I barely got caught in that map

In the sumeru map water runners you can climb to the cliff and disguise yourself or that little crack between the houses at the northern part of the area. It’s best to use a green/brown color schemed character. I never once got caught but it’s also noted that I won as a hunter in that map over and over again.

I was playing wind trace as the Hunter and someone managed to glitch the barrier so that I could see them jumping just inside it, I jumped back but got them immediately after the game started and apparently I was the first Tartaglia main to do that, or just the first to get them straight away in general? I felt like the other players were low key making fun of me after that, they were like ‘look at the fatui, trying so hard’ and it kinda ruined my whole day. I mean, I’m the Hunter, and I’m terrible at being the Hunter, why make it harder for myself by letting them get away?! I won the match but felt guilty for no reason. Ugh players like that often show up and ruins the fun of the game, I usually try to not let it get to me if their being mean. I try to be nice despite if someone is trying to brake me or hurt me in a game cause they're salty or cocky

Some players are just childish like that, most of them are children or preteens that make fun of people for trying too hard, too little, for being less skilled, etc, not all of them are mature yet (some don't even grow to be mature at all tbh) so honestly try to not take them seriously. In the end, everyone you're playing windtrace with is mostly strangers who add absolutely zero value in your life and whose opinion doesn't matter, even less if it's about a game of hide and seek that's going to be gone in a couple of weeks and take months if not a year to come back Don't feel guilty, no shame in trying too hard or too little, do what's fun for you and that's that. Only thing people should feel shame for in the game is when they mock strangers for meaningless things and make them feel bad

I love to climb to the windmill rooftop, you can watch the hunter's movement from above, and it's almost impossible to get caught cause even if the hunter climbs up you can immediately fly away

Yet it is visible to hunter too. For rebel there is some blind radius at tower base. Got 3/3 under 2 min here, seelie off, sneaked on one there with feint and slow climb. Rosaria is pretty silent while climbing🗡️

the favor isn't as broken as people think it is, sure you can use it to find the rebels or escape the hunter but if you have an amazing hiding spot then your all good, for instance with sacrosanct dominion behind where the hunter spawns there's a tree and if you go to the left of the map, climb up the giant tree stuff you can glide to the top of the tree, its an amazing place
