This week we have Jimmy's opener from west Michigan, and Jenny takes us to the east side for a very cool buck pole. We also have time for a Bragging Board as well.

Manistee and Mason county were my Deer hunting stomping grounds. I'm retired and dream of moving there.

So our deer season is almost over 5 hunters... 1 harvest....and 5 life memories... just sitting down to a venison steak... thinking about how to finish that steak for breakfast.... perhaps a french toast top and bottom...some of that rare venison, with 2 eggs over easy, some small hash browns, slathered with mayo....might even be a midnight snack....

I understand it must be difficult trying to film a hunt alone, but I have to ask why not wait for a broad side shot when the deer looked pretty relaxed? I can only imagine how much of that shoulder meat was a foamy blood mess.

Didn't really want to take the chance of him leaving the opening he was in, but could have waited a few more seconds.... I actually like that high should shot especially with a smaller caliber like i was using - barley lost any of the shoulder meat - good question! thanks for watching!
@nickscrps43596 жыл бұрын
interesting, what caliber/loads are you using? If it doesn't waste the meat, dropping them in their tracks sure is nice!

That was a 243 with a 95 grain ballistic tip - love those rounds.

good stuff, and great buck! Also, just want to say I appreciate you guys putting your episodes on youtube. I don't have a TV hook up, so it's nice to be able to still see the show!

Question: Why do you not do big buck night like Fred Trost did?
@jimmygretz6 жыл бұрын
We do 2 big buck nights each year - usually late Feb and early March - one is at Outdoorama and one is at the Ultimate sport show - both are aired in late march early april.
