My brother is in NY and he's worked his arse off to make something of himself and provide for his family. He's benefited from Obamacare and it saved his life 3 years ago, if he hadn't he would have been ruined by medical debt and not having the urgent care that his situation required. My family is grateful this solution exists. Health is a right not a financial transaction, defend Obamacare please
@amandam7674 жыл бұрын
Same here! I went for years without medical insurance as my employer didn't provide that benefit. I've been covered now since the ACA was enacted, and the peace of mind is everything. You can't put a price on that.
@xymonau24684 жыл бұрын
In Australia, we have free universal healthcare. I have had a number of operations in my life - five in recent years. I could never have paid for them. The care was world class, as was the after-care. I didn't pay one penny for it. You can have private coverage in Australia. It gets you the doctor of your choice - but that doctor is working for the government hospitals and seeing free patients, too. You are also going to be in a bed next to someone without medical insurance, unless you pay for a private room. And when you leave hospital, in spite of your insurance, you always have a gap payment of several thousand. I know which system I would prefer. And while we pay something for medication, there is a cap on the price. Most are no more than $40 maximum, but if you are on a pension or other form of social security payment, you pay a maximum of about $6.

What do you think of this comment... What dp you think...(Just up for discussion) The only thing that Obama did was bought bonds and bailed out companies that robbed the tax payer dollars by continuing to pay themselves bonuses. It is well known that our energy needs will always be there until a viable substitute can come around and the money that Obama invested in renewable energy was a bust. Companies went bankrupt. His policies on fracking slowed our ability to compete with other countries which made us energy dependent on them. I dont know about you but I kinda like where the gas prices are and have been for the last few years. And as for the ridiculous Green New Deal if you return to tighter regulations because you fear global warming then what are you going to do about China and India that continue to dump more pollutants into OUR atmosphere? Emphasis on OUR because yes those pollutants travel around the world. The Paris climate accords did nothing to slow the amount of pollution from our rivals. So it only made sense for Trump to get us out of it.

It's such a nice experience to listen to him speak, he really is a human being. I have missed that so much in our leadership. I really can't imagine why people have tolerated the orange clown. Obama is and will always be number one in my book. His ACA saved my life after already filing bankruptcy for medical bills, I would have had to do it again without the ACA.
@Syclone00444 жыл бұрын
You just made me realize the ACA could have saved my life. In July, I suddenly had a tremendous crippling pain in my neck that happened in an instant. I’m 40 and have no health issues. I had no insurance until the ACA. Doctors in the ER were unsure what was happening. I got at least 5 CT, CTA, MRI, MRA, and formal catheter angiograms in 3 different hospitals and a 5 day hospital stay in the neuroscience ward when it was finally discovered I had suffered a rare, critical event called a subarachnoid hemorrhage in my brain. 🧠 Meaning, my brain literally began bleeding from my main basilar artery coming up from my spinal cord. Google SAH and you’ll quickly find how rapidly fatal this event can be. Luckily I ended up fine and needed no brain surgery aside from the angiogram to examine by blood vessels inside my brain. I have no idea what this all cost, because the ACA covered everything 100%, I didn’t pay a penny. But add up all the stuff I just listed and it’s undoubtedly well into the 10’s of thousands of dollars if not possibly even $100,000. The angiogram alone was a HUGE ordeal, first order of business in the morning for the neuroscience team, in a huge restricted-area operating theater like I’ve never seen before, with a dozen big screens and monitors all over like NASA mission control, and at least a dozen medical professionals operating together on me while the neurosurgeon in charge was commanding over the loudspeaker, for 2 hours. I’d love to know what that alone cost!! Without the ACA I probably would’ve just gambled unknowingly with my life at home.

A Republican Senator was so ANGRY at former President Clinton's staff that he started demanding a Congressional investigation ... until he learned the truth. Incompetence. Just incompetence.) When new President Obama was being briefed on intelligence, the person said afterwards that he was sorry to give the President such bad news; to which Obama responded with kindly reassurance "Don't feel bad. I've never even heard Trump talk about his own wife and kids in such a warm and endearing way. The contrast between these two men is so stark.

If only there was an idiom that put into words the stark contrast between these two "men". ( in quotes because one is a big toddler) They are like night and day.--- no maybe there is a better saying Got it: The difference is as clear as black and white

Trump did talk about Ivanka warmly... Except not a normal way of warm relationship.
