Dr. King Schultz... how freaking awesome was that character! Put a director like Quentin Tarantino in with an actor as extraordinary as Christoph Waltz, and half the time you're going to get pure gold. I don't even know whether I should consider Django or Dr. Schultz the main character!

What did he mean by that ? Lol I didn't get it
@Cosmiclight4758 жыл бұрын
+Nancy from Montclair American culture has spread worldwide with Hollywood and brands etc, it's called cultural imperialism in media. Other nations cultures get replaced by American slowly basically haha
I can tell you. "Americanized" in Austria would mean to subdue to entertainment and commercialisation and to become superficially friendly It is a way to see American culture. But AC is more than that. Knowing Waltz as an Austrian Actor and now an Austrian-American Actor I would say it was a joke in both direction: Makin fun of - sometimes - superficial American culture and - at the same time - at Europeans to be so arrogant to not see other aspects about American culture.

The audience laughs off his interpretation, but they shouldn't. It's quite brilliant. If you look at the lyrics to the "Sesame Street" theme, they really are "haunting", as Waltz says. They're basically asking to get to a place full of sunny days and friendly faces, a place to play where everything's "a-okay" . . . and yet, it never says in the song where exactly this place is. If you think about it, metaphorically, we're all still trying to "get to Sesame Street".

Loose translation of the German intro would be: Who, How, What... he, she, it (it would be the female article, the male article and the factual article - but the, the, the sounds silly) why, why so, wherefore, who doesn't asks stays dumb. Thousands of cool things are to be seen everywhere, sometimes you got to ask to understand them.
