Was waiting till something like this popped up, loved my r33, same engine. Bit of a slouch but always puts a smile on your face. Rj suggesting turbo'ing it, Skid Factory's rb30e+t made over 350whp reliably and many other rb30e+t's do. as for the rb20e+t, ive read one makes around 250whp with a TO4B turbo with loads of torque. Sounds like it could be some fun thrown into something else. Just a FYI, Rb's are known for oil collecting at the back of the head and not draining back into the pan so be careful of that.

Finally a r33 in the channel I'm a crazy aussie that luvs his skylines ive had 32s and 33s so if you need any advice or anything just hit me up, on a side note I absolutely luv ur content so keep it up guys and I'm glad to see that bmw getting some luv it's a real nice set up... ps put some arp head studs and a mls head gasket and it will b a good reliable 400hp all day long if you look after an rb they are actually very reliable I have daily driven mine for 5yrs at 428rwhp without any hiccups serviced every 5k kms

Rb20 hey, interesting. In Australia we got the RB30DET in the Holden VL Turbo which is one of the most iconic Aussie cars, and very sought after now. 3 litre, inline six, single cam and turbo. Designed by Nissan and Holden (GM) I have one and they are great. If you look up vl turbo on KZbin you’ll find many great videos of the power the RB30 can make. Builders have put the 26 and 25 heads to the 30 block sometimes and put them back in GTR’s or the VL turbo.

Hey I know you don’t intend to do anything too soon. But I highly HIGHLY recommend Spectrum Motorsports out in Canada. It’s the same company that made the turbo for TommyFYeah’s neo rb25. They do manifolds and everything, I just helped setup a big single for a friend’s r32 through them. Chris over there is cool people and he will work with you. 🤙🏼
