Fun fact is that the battery is in the engine compartment because there is a 4 cylinder under the hood not because its a wagon 😊 Love wagons thay are the best 70% of all my cars have been wagons 👌🏼great addition to the collection.

Hey Jimmy, Tourings are the same length, no need for a longer exhaust. The touring shares almost all body parts with the sedan, except for the rear doors(and hatch obviously).

About the battery all 4 cylinder cars had the battery in the bay, 6 cylinders got them in the back. Stocked for the wagon E34 Touring owner myself. This build will be mint.

if im not mistaken, the battery in the engine bay is not a wagon thing, all 4 cylinder E36s (316i, 318i) came like that, 6 cyls got the battery in the rear

Jimmy you can get the battery in the boot, you just gotta buy a boot-cable and you can punch out a couple of pre-outlined holes and feed it back there. Goes in the plastic wiring cages under the carpet

Wagons are great, I started with a e46 coupe,then e36 coupe ,sedan ,a x5 and now a have e46 wagon. Also swapping a om606 Mercedes engine in it with a huge hx50 turbo on it😃 slammed to the ground ,this is just the vibe… so stoked to see your wagon with the turbo engine.🤙🏻

exhaust and muffler is the same, it will fit with no problems! everything fits directly. except you will need to relocate the battery in the trunk.

If you are really down to chop up that car, cut the roof open to fabricate a hatch to let out tire smoke during competitions. Put some sort of scoop on the hood opening to direct air to the new hatch door.

15 years ago a mate had a 5speed e36 4 cylinder. He’d whip it on bitumen/tarmac with us in the Aussie ford falcons. It was a surprise.

An E-36 Wagon is a very rare car. That's one of the best 4 cylinders of all time ever made. It makes 140 HP (in a very light car)but you can get 200 HP naturally aspirated, and a Downing Atlantic supercharger will get ya to 240-250 HP.And it's solid 4 cylinder I think one of the best ever made like the Toyota 2JZ engineits overbuilt and solid. Love the E36 and E46 from BMW. During this timeframe BMW was seriously making some of their best cars in their history (certainly not doing that today).Back then, form followed function. No "Bling"!

I love wagons! If they weren't painfully slow I would have a TSX Wagon, but I had a 13 TSX SE and it was just not as fast as I wanted and would've taken 8-10 thousand to make it so I replaced it with a 21 Honda Accord 2.0T Touring I was worried about the hole in the hood of the E36, but that actually turned out really good!!! The wagon is going to be epic when it's complete
