I’m watching this video on the day Little Richard died (May 09, 2020) and just awed by how much he thanks God in this video. Constant praise. And it made me realize that while God didn’t give Little Richard everything he wanted, he allowed him to see his music and music from the 1950’s come back around again and become re-appreciated, in a better way than it was when it was new. He outlived so many 1st generation rock and roll singers and never left God. Inspirational. I hope an updated movie is made about his life, reflecting that along with his music.

Did you mean feminine or he was actually a feminist
@rmontoya900664 жыл бұрын
He was gay, not a feminist, he was most, an incredible man that always walked and spoke his truth. Yes, The Beatles loved him, as they loved, Chuck Berry, that's where they got their Soulful beat. All incredible musicians. They sure don't make music like these fine men did. Little Richard was Born to be a STAR!! GOD BLESS HIM!🙏🙏♥️♥️
@Chas11604 жыл бұрын
Ruby Redd yes you are correct. I should have said effeminate. Being effeminate doesn’t always mean ones gay though. It could have been an act but doubt it. It doesn’t matter anyhow, he was able to communicate to an audience.

Ruby Redd did you know that Little Richard had a son? I just found out. Although not unusual for gay men to have kids too. He was incredible personality! His famous saying “ Oh Shut Up ! “

Little Richard and I have so much in common. We both experienced the second slavery and our fathers sold bootleg liquor to feed the family because sharecropper slaves never received pay for their labor. Little richard overcame so many obstacles. He was truly blessed. Thank God 🙏

Great to see Richard toss off names like Elmore James, Sonny Boy Williamson, and Guitar Slim, his contemporaries that are largely unknown to the mass audience today.

One of the best Little Richard interviews I've ever seen. His ability to relate his growing up years, and beyond, is enlightening. Macon, Georgia's contribution to the world. No covers of his songs could ever touch Richard's spirit. Some people comment that Prince was a successor of Richard's. No, no, no way was Prince an equal. Neither was Michael Jackson nor Elvis. I have 78rpms on the Specialty label of Richard's that are hand-me-downs from my oldest brother. I think that my favorite Little Richard recollection is that Black women say, "whoo" in a lower range, and White women say, "whoo" in a loud, high range. His imitation of each is spot on. Thank you Richard for giving me your music and life for the last 70+ yrs. RIP as I know that you are 🎶🎶
