Jimmy, I agree with you that we are in for a lifetime of surprises with Karolina and her violin. A few months ago I saw a video of her playing a $2 million violin and giving her assessment of it to a group of men! To your point about people on the street tipping her - I expect that most of the people passing by have no clue that she's a world class violinist playing on the street. If I could go see that level of talent, free on the street in my town, I would be there all the time. It is artists like Karolina that in the future will define us as a culture.

I think they take precautions to protect this jewel of an artist by not announcing her timetables - otherwise there would be hundreds of spectators if not thousands. As her recent car theft showed, this corner of the world is not very safe any more.

@@toivotraks Yes, I think you're right. Being famous in that environment could be dangerous. However, it did put a smile on my face to see the large crowds she and Danielle Vitale are attracting in Italy. It is hard to believe how far she has come in just a few short years.

@@toivotraks - Karolina reported earlier that she only performs as a "busker" two times a month. She has reduced that schedule more and more and seems to be emphasizing the development of her classical career. It is simply too dangerous to work on the streets these days in the same way she has in the past. You could see the exposure she had in Italy - people bumping into her and hands within reach of her. Hopefully, someone will step forward and find a way for her to "SAFELY" do the contemporary interpersonal performances she likes along with the classical performances she wants to do. If the Nova LA Orchestra had any business sense they would find a way to make that work. Here is the video Karolina reports on her busker schedule and how she manages to do all the things she does. @@rocroc Yes - I follow her Vlog closely so I know about all of these things. And there is much more information in other media sources yet. To pursue pure classical career with some high goals, one has to : 1. Start at 5 and concentrate only on one thing - be concert giving widely at the age of 12 at least. 2. Practise classical for 6-7 hours daily to build up one's repertoire tens of times bigger than now. 3. Attend a prestigious music school officially to have credentials for launching a classical career. 4. Win some world-renown competitions to have get recognized in high classical music circles for launching a concert life. 5. Apply to a place in an orchestra in hard auditions in competition with multitude of other applicants and disappear from public eye as a incognito member of the orchestra. 6. To be a world-renown soloist one has to have a concert schedule of 50-60 concerts a year as a minimum, having a repertoire of at least 10-15 concertos like Mendelssohn along with multitude of other concert repertoire. 7. All the same time keeping in mind that so-called classical soloist market is far oversaturated even only with prodigies younger than Karolina, not speaking of multitude of adult artists with world fame and international concert life - like Ray Chen for example. There are at least 100+ applicants for every single place among artists who mean something in the world. 8. You can't do above-mentioned breakthroughs into classical career based on private lessons - be you as talented and gifted as is possible. 9. 15 yo is not a young prodigy age in high classical music world - it is almost hopelessly late. Especially when you divide your musical time between violin, singing, ballet, some other instruments, family, traveling, regular school - practising classical only 2 hours daily. 10. But to be a prodigy at 15 in popular music field having developed her own personal playing style unparalleled in the world is another thing and absolutely possible. In this regard she is practically without competition - with the exception of Lindsey Stirling perhaps, older and more established in similar musical lines. Also it must be taken into account that her earnings to do all musical activity, lifestyle, schooling and tuition comes entirely from street music turned into yt income. So what turn her career takes remains to be seen. At the moment she is not clearly on classical career road, neither has she joined popular music industry with all contracts, managers, promotions, concerts etc. So lets wait and see what is going to happen, meanwhile enjoying what she offers to her millions of fans over the planet. I think Karolina herself and her family are keenly aware about all this. Cheers!

@@toivotraks - I don't think she is all classical either but she has said that is what she loves to do. There has to be some happy medium to get her through the next couple of years. A combination of both and I think there is a way to do it :-) First priority is to ensure her safety :-)

I was looking through your Karolina videos to see if you had anything from "Naples" yet. I first took a look at recent videos then went to your "Playlists" to look at all Karolina reactions. To my surprise you did not have a Karolina Protsenko playlist. I did a quick count to see how many Karolina videos you've done and quit after I hit 42. I think she deserves a playlist.

My first request from Italian videos will be published May 1 or thereabouts, I hope. All my May requests are videos from European performances. Steven will add to that I'm sure. This is projected to continue for some time. Karolina has 72 (!) reactions by Jimmy to this date and this certainly deserves and needs a playlist. I'll ask Jimmy for that. There is so much good material beyond 42 latest reactions - including Nothing Else Matters with record viewing nearing 10K, Faded, Time to Say Goodbye etc. Update - it seems Karolina playlist will hopefully appear quite soon.

Hi Jimmy! A little bit of context of Felicità (pronounced Fe-lee-chee-tah) During the late 1970s and 80s there was a big wave of Italian pop artists that were very popular in their country and in Hispanic countries (such as mine) because either they released versions in Spanish or were covered by Hispanic artists. These songs are still very popular in Italy and Karolina's covers of them show the influence she has from her best performing partner: Daniele Vitale, whose latest collabs in Italy I'm sure we will be seeing thanks to the generosity of Steven and Toivo. Other examples of these originally Italian songs covered by KP are "Volveré" (I'll be back) and, of course, "Sará perche ti amo" (May be because I love you). Wonderful 80's beat and excellent pick by Steven. Cheers everyone.
